Govinda was originally doing the film with Nandu Tolani and David Dhawan. Salman Khan heard about this and requested Govinda to hand over the project to him and Sajid Nadiadwala. Govinda agreed and this is how Salman ended up doing Judwaa.
Rambha's voiceover dubbing is done by Tabu
This is the first film starring Salman Khan in a David Dhawan film.
Shakti Kapoor pays a tribute to his role "Nandu" from the film "Raja Babu" which was also directed by David Dhawan
