When Detective Rodriguez splashes Malloy with his water pistol, a girl with a short skirt and red purse hurries by them. Half a minute later, when Malloy enters the car, the same girl walks by again.
In the final scene, when Frannie is walking home from the lighthouse after escaping the killer, she is barefoot. When she reaches the garden of her apartment building, she is wearing sandals. When she reaches her apartment, she's barefoot again.
A few seconds after Malloy has removed Frannie's panties, she is still wearing them (while he fondles her stomach).
When Franny sits down with Cornelius the first time and she opens her notebook, the "new word" he gives her is already written there, before he tells her.
When Malloy gives Frannie his card, she uses a pushpin to secure it on her wall. Later in a close-up when she is at Pauline's apartment holding Malloy's card, there's no pinhole in the card.
When detective Malloy introduced himself to Francis he shows his badge with the right hand and there is no tattoo on his wrist.
There is a typo in the credits - "transportation" is spelled "tranportation" (missing the "s").
At the police station it is indicated it is the NYPD 8th precinct. When the female sergeant takes Frannie home from the police station, the cruiser seems to be from the 15th precinct. 8th precinct was abolished in 1958 and 15th in 1964.
Towards the end of the movie as Frannie is taken to the lighthouse, it is dark. There is however, a shot of detective Rodriguez taken from inside the lighthouse towards the door and outside it is daylight.
On the final night depicted in the film, after a violent and exhausting struggle with a well-built serial killer about twice her size, Frannie manages to stagger, bloody, barefoot, from the George Washington Bridge to her apartment on the Lower Eastside , approximately 10 miles. Quite a feat, as, other than trained marathon walkers, the average person is only capable of walking 5 to 7 miles at a time,
When Det. Malloy first meets Frannie, he says the day of the murder was Saturday the 15th. Later, when Frannie is in the car with Malloy and his partner, the partner says the date of the murder was the 11th.
