Many Survivor 47 advantages have already been revealed this season, including the various Idols and Amulets that have been spread around.
A new Beware Advantage was introduced this season. Each tribe had a box hidden at their beach and inside them were several challenges.
Castaways who found the boxes could complete tasks to acquire a short-term Hidden Immunity Idol, risk it for an Idol good at three Tribal Councils, or take it one final step for an Idol good until the final five.
Three castaways jumped at the chance to have a Beware Advantage, but Andy Rueda felt he needed time to think about it at Gata. As Andy pondered it back at camp, Sam Phalen nabbed it and secured an Idol.

Australia-born, London-based Payne has come a long way from her first industry job as the assistant for international distribution for Hanna-Barbera Australia. She now oversees Banijay Rights, the distribution arm of the world’s largest indie production conglomerate, selling everything from Survivor, Big Brother and MasterChef to Black Mirror and Peaky Blinders worldwide.
Navigating a contracting market dominated by “streamer correction and general industry consolidation” has been a challenge this past year, says Payne, one complicated by executive shuffling across broadcast and platform groups which has “delayed decision making” and led to gaps in the market, like the sharp decline in commissioning for mid-budget factual entertainment series.

Kelley Wentworth may have been a quiet castaway on Survivor: San Juan del Sur, but she still knows how to have some fun.
The Survivor alum shared a hilarious video online poking fun at Rome Cooney’s puzzle-solving skills. Rome recently struggled during a puzzle on Survivor 47.
Rome has a huge personality that has come through on Survivor 47. It’s part of the reason his puzzle struggles are noteworthy.
During the fourth episode of Survivor 47, the Lavo Tribe was battling to win the latest Immunity Challenge. Rome was one of the players who had to complete a puzzle to ensure victory.
But Rome struggled with the puzzle. Maybe saying he struggled with it is too kind, as he failed to connect a single piece of the puzzle. That’s right… Rome didn’t even complete one piece.
Lavo was sent to the Tribal Council, where Kishan Patel was voted out in a huge blindside.

Matlock is back on CBS, but it isn’t your grandmother’s television show starring Andy Griffith; this is an all-new compelling series starring the iconic Kathy Bates.
Kathy Bates has been in so many of everyone’s favorite television shows and movies that anything she is in has the potential to be a hit, and this new show certainly is a mega-hit.
The new Matlock is not a reboot of the beloved original series. Instead, it is a mystery show inside a great lawyer procedural starring Kathy Bates, Beau Bridges, Skye P. Marshall, and even Days of Our Lives star Billy Flynn.
If you watch the first show, you will find out the twist and be hooked, just like so many fans who say they will be watching every episode.

Big Brother 26 was an odd season, with fans falling in love with a player who didn’t even make it to the jury house.
Tucker Des Lauriers is the first pre-jury evictee ever named America’s Favorite Houseguest on Big Brother. The honor earned him a nice $50,000 prize on the season finale.
Julie Chen Moonves announced the Afh winner soon after she revealed that Chelsie Baham had won Big Brother 26. Julie also announced that the final three vote-getters were Tucker, Angela Murray, and Quinn Martin.
Chelsie won $750,000 for her time in the Big Brother house, winning a unanimous jury vote over Makensy Manbeck. This is only the third time a unanimous vote has decided the Big Brother USA winner.
Chelsie set a high bar for the Big Brother 27 cast. Julie urged folks to begin applying if they want to play Big Brother during the summer of 2025. Applications are open on the CBS portal.

Jeff Probst and his team immediately didn’t like the ladder maze seen in Survivor Season 47 Episode 5. It was a new feature they added into a challenge defined by new, but it will likely be changed if and when it appears again. The reward challenge had several never-before-seen elements, like the three tribes being split into two teams for one challenge only and the winning side sharing in the “Survivor Social” reward after. It also featured a ladder maze that made the two teams guide their ladders through a complicated apparatus and free it before it could be used for the next leg of the challenge. Probst revealed in the newest episode of the Survivor On Fire podcast that he and the show’s producers immediately regrouped on set after filming this challenge to brainstorm how this ladder maze could be improved, as the immediate reaction to seeing it in...

I was just skimming the latest Wednesday ratings, and… yikes. ABC’s Abbott Elementary is not doing well, incongruously leading out of The Golden Bachelorette this fall.
The Golden Bachelorette is averaging 2.7 million total viewers and a 0.3 demo rating through its first five episodes. That’s a far cry from the 4.7 mil/0.6 that The Golden Bachelor averaged a year ago, though 1) Bachelor aired on a different night (Thursdays) and 2) only against other reality-tv fare on CBS and Fox, due to the Hollywood strikes delaying scripted shows.

The Challenge’s Devin Walker calls Season 40 castmate Kyland Young ‘overrated’ and Bananas ‘jealous’
Devin Walker exited The Challenge: Battle of the Eras much earlier than anticipated, and while he said the better man won in elimination, he still called his opponent “overrated.”
The Ride or Dies winner was sent into the latest elimination as he was one of his team’s two targets alongside his friend and ally, Tori Deal.
Daily challenge winner Rachel Robinson consulted with castmates, including Laurel Stucky, to determine which players to send in. Tori and Devin battled two Era 4 beasts in former show winner Kaycee Clark and rising star Kyland Young.
However, the elimination involved untangling various wires to extend cables and cords to a board and plugging them in.
The first competitor to light up all 40 logos for the various seasons of The Challenge won the event.
Devin struggled mightily while his opponent swiftly sent the former winner home.

Keeping the same quality of tasks and challenges for more than two decades is not an easy feat. However, the reality competitive show Survivor has managed to do this throughout the last 46 seasons. The show is currently airing its 47th season and the tasks are more gruesome than the last. Further, the subject of Survivor won’t be complete without Jeff Probst, who has been a loyal part of the show since its beginning.

In this week’s “Survivor 47” deleted scene (watch above), Gabe Ortis found himself alone at the Tuku camp after Caroline Vidmar, Kyle Ostwald, Sue Smey and Tiyana Hallums all took part in the “Survivor Social Hour” co-mingling reward barbecue. Ever the gamer, Gabe used the opportunity to start searching for a hidden immunity idol. For the record, it would be his second one so far in the game, because he already located and played an idol in the season premiere.
“Coming back from the reward challenge, it’s just me at camp and I’ve got one thing on my mind,” he told the camera in a private confessional. “It’s not being alone. It’s not moping around. It’s put your stuff down, start hunting. I found it once. I’ll go find it again.”

The 47th season of “Survivor” premiered on September 18, 2024 with a two-hour episode that introduced viewers to 18 brand new castaways. CBS’s reality TV show returned to its regular 90-minute format beginning with the second episode. The youngest contestants this time around are Christine “Teeny” Chirichillo and Sam Phalen (both age 24), while the oldest person is 59-year-old Sue Smey (though she’s lying to the others about her age). This year, there was also a celebrity in the jungle: political speechwriter and “Pod Save America” host Jon Lovett. Unfortunately, Jon was the first person voted out of the game when his tribe saw him as a social threat, and his buddy Andy Rueda added fuel to the fire when he publicly came after him during an immunity challenge meltdown.

Hey, "Survivor" fans. Tonight, October 16, 2024, another new episode for Survivor's current season 47 did indeed hit the air, and we saw another unlucky contestant get voted off in a very emotional blindside. Seriously, it was not taken well, guys. Tonight's new episode kicked off with footage of the Lavo tribe talking about the blindside that took place at the last tribal council meeting, which sent Kishan packing. Teeny told the private cams, "I've been bamboozled. I expected the vote to be Rome." Rome asked Teeny if she knew about the plan to get him out. She said she did, but she couldn't do anything about it since she didn't have a vote. Rome accused Teeny of still not having his back since she didn't tell him about the plan. Teeny apologized to Rome for not telling him about the plan to get him out, "but I do feel free from Kishan now,...

Survivor is a weird game. Genevieve was essentially invisible at the start of the season. Except, apparently, she’s running the Lavo tribe. It’s not something that just popped up out of the blue, either. She’s always been fully in the mix. She’s proving to be a good player, with interesting and insightful confessionals. Even though Lavo did not go to Tribal Council this week, she still got plenty of time to shine once again, and the show seems to have settled in with her as a key focal point for the rest of the time on the show.

After 47 seasons, “Survivor” players continue to find ways to surprise the viewers … and the host! During the fifth episode of “Survivor 47,” Gata tribe members Andy Rueda, Anika Dhar, Rachel Lamont, Sam Phalen and Sierra Wright arrived at the immunity challenge with the three chickens they had won in the previous week’s reward. As it turned out, the egg-laying hens weren’t living up to their full potential, and so the contestants were hoping they could negotiate with Jeff Probst for some eggs instead.
“Let’s just start with the obvious,” Jeff announced when Gata showed up with their three little cluckers. “Are they family members that travel with you now? Or is this about something else?”
“You know, Jeff, we as a tribe would like to propose a negotiation with you,” Sierra declared.
“I love a negotiation,” the host replied. “Tell me what you’re thinking.”

[Warning: The following contains Major spoilers for the Survivor Season 47 Episode 5.] A new bombshell has entered the sanctuary. Survivor introduced a brand new twist in Season 47 Episode 5: The Survivor Social. It’s a trip to the sanctuary for the winners of the reward challenge, and the first “social” allowed players from different tribes to connect at the barbecue — something that doesn’t typically happen pre-merge. Jeff Probst explains the purpose of “The Survivor Social” in the latest episode of the On Fire podcast (listen in full below). Probst explained the new twist ahead of the challenge in Episode 5, saying that the three tribes would be divided into two just for that challenge and the winning combined team gets to celebrate together with a hot meal afterwards. They got to play cornhole as well. Probst explains to cohosts Jay Wolff and Charlie Davis in On Fire that this twist was implemented as an experiment to see how the...

Twists in Survivor aren’t quite what they used to be, but that didn’t stop the new era from reaching into its bag of tricks once again in Wednesday’s episode.
Members from all three tribes were divvied up into two teams for the season’s first reward challenge. This trip to the Sanctuary was deemed a “Survivor social hour” where the winning castaways enjoyed hot dogs, corn hole (random) and the advantage of mingling with players from the other tribes.

During the last Survivor episode, Kishan Patel was voted out. He was completely blindsided and never saw it coming.
This was the second straight time a Lavo member had been eliminated. Aysha Welch was voted out during the previous episode.
The last episode of Survivor also re-introduced Amulets. Here’s how the Survivor 47 Amulets work and who has them.
Below is a full recap from the Survivor 47 episode that debuted on Wednesday, October 16.

Throughout the last two decades, Survivor has managed to keep the audience hooked with its gripping intensity. But in the midst of all the grueling challenges and tasks, it has also produced its fair share of controversies and drama. However, for one contestant this escalated to a point that she left the show altogether.

One Chicago tends to take over on Wednesday nights for a lot of people. What’s on TV tonight, Wednesday, Oct. 16 as CBS continues its premiere week?
Well, for CBS, there isn’t much different tonight compared to previous weeks. The reality shows already started their premieres weeks earlier, and we get new episodes of The Summit and Survivor tonight. So, what about the other networks?
One Chicago Wednesday, The Golden Bachelorette, and more
Of course, for NBC, it’s all about the three One Chicago shows. Things kick off with Chicago Med, but it’s Chicago Fire that we’re keeping a close eye on. Violet makes a decision on a call that could see her fired from the job. EMTs are there to perform the initial emergency treatment and rush to the hospital, not perform C-sections, so it’s not surprising that Violet is potentially going to lose her license.

If you’ve been enjoying the new CBS reality adventure series The Summit, you might have noticed that it feels a lot like it could be titled Survivor: Mountain Edition. The setting for these shows may be different, but the premise, along with the mind-blowing scenery and intense competition give The Summit heavy Survivor vibes. That’s probably not a coincidence. Kevin Hodder, the supervising challenge producer on The Summit, is a mountaineering expert who has worked on both Survivor and Big Brother. Jimmy Quigley oversees story and cast interviews and is a co-executive producer on both shows. While their DNA is intertwined, this new CBS reality competition series does an excellent job of making its own mark. Here are five ways The Summit takes gameplay elements of Survivor to another level. It has compelling, mature contestants. Survivor fans are accustomed to drama, and while that’s seen on ...

Richard Hatch has made his triumphant return to reality TV as a cast member of House of Villains Season 2. Has this perceived onscreen bad guy turned over a new leaf? It was 24 years ago when he made history as the first winner of the Survivor. From there he went on to try his hand at other competitions including Celebrity Apprentice and The Biggest Loser. Things went downhill for Hatch when he was convicted on three counts of attempted tax evasion in 2006 and served 51 months along with an additional nine for not amending his 2000 and 2001 tax returns. With House of Villains in full swing, Hatch opened up about why he thinks people look at him as a villain ands insists he was misunderstood on Survivor. In an interview with People published on October 15 he says, “They love to hate me because they didn’t understand Survivor.” He continued that, “The world saw me as a villain.

Since the beginning of July 2, 2000, the United States version of reality series Big Brother has crowned 26 regular season winners. Each season of the show, which debuted with a different format than how it’s structured today. The first season, which debuted to not-so-rave reviews a month after Survivor launched, was the only one whose winner was chosen by the public. The show’s first season contained 70 episodes, and eventually, Eddie McGee emerged victorious. After that, the format was changed to contestants evicting each other. As the seasons went on, different wrinkles were introduced to the contestants competing in the house, such as all-star rounds that bring back former contestants and sometimes even winners, enemies entering the house, or ex-lovers.
Other wrinkles in different seasons had houseguests pair up or divide into teams of four. The objective of the reality competition is to remain the last houseguest in the Big Brother...

In this week’s “Survivor 47” sneak peek video for Episode 5 (watch above), Teeny Chirichillo returns to the red Lavo camp in full-on “survival mode” following Genevieve Mushaluk‘s big game move to eliminate Kishan Patel. However, Genevieve quickly responds that Teeny is “not at the bottom,” because both Rome Cooney and Solomon “Sol” Yi share that dishonor.
“They both want to work with us and they don’t want to work with each other,” Genevieve declares. And when Teeny explains that Rome doesn’t want to work with her, Genevieve states bluntly, “He’s gonna have no choice.” Remember, this panic is all the direct result of Genevieve flipping the game on its head last week and sending home Kishan because she correctly surmised that he was manipulating people from the middle.
Genevieve, a 33-year-old corporate lawyer from Winnipeg, Manitoba, says in a private confessional, “The idea to vote out Kishan was mine.

Survivor can easily give all the other reality shows a run for their money when it comes to popularity and fan following. And it’s because of this that the show is just behind three seasons from celebrating the 50th season milestone. In the midst of this, host and showrunner Jeff Probst has worked hard continuously to keep it as authentic and real for the viewers. But it seems that not everything is as it appears.

Big Brother fans knew that Chelsie Baham manipulated Makensy Manbeck on her way to winning the season.
It’s all part of the game, but the Live Feeds showed how often it happened as the Summer 2024 season progressed.
Some Big Brother fans even joked that Chelsie was the real Head of Household each time Makensy held that title.
That manipulation got Chelsie to the final two with Makensy. It led to her winning the $750,000 on a unanimous vote.
Chelsie’s ability to control the game ranks among the best performances we have seen on Big Brother, and the BB26 jury saw it up close.
Now Makensy has had time to digest what happened and is speaking about her experiences during exit interviews.
Makensy reveals when she figured out Chelsie had manipulated her
“I think she was manipulating me, and was using me,” Makensy told Dalton Ross in an interview for Entertainment Weekly.
