Two women are implied to engage in lesbian sex and BDSM. Although nothing is said or heard and this will go over kids heads.

A few missions are done for a pimp, which involve driving prostitutes around. One mission involves driving several of them to a policeman's ball.

A mission boss is implied to engage in bestiality porn and mentions that he started his "exotic entertainment business with the sizable contents of his leather pants". Issues of a magazine named "Donkey Does Dallas" can also be seen, with an image of a mule on the cover. No nudity or sex is seen and it is just some talk.

Some references to prostitution; there are red light districts and prostitutes walking the streets, but no sexual activity is seen. A woman's moans can be heard outside a nightclub in the red light district during nighttime.

A couple of references in cutscenes, such as a woman asking if she gets to play with a man's "big end" again. In another cutscene, she also asks when the man's gonna "drill" her.

Prostitutes roam the streets, and can be picked up to have sex with the player. Only the car rocking back and forth is shown. No animations between them are actually used. They don't say anything and if kids asks whats happening you can just say their kissin.

It is implied one mission boss is a serial killer who wants you to bring him people so he can turn them into dog food.

Lots of killing and blood you can kill inoccent people cops and other criminals blood splatters when you shoot them.

You can use rifles, specific UZIS, shotguns and sniper rifles to blow people's heads off. This gory effect carries onto it's prequel Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.

You have the ability to mercilessly kill pedestrians, either by running over and crushing them or killing them with weapons.

Whenever you shoot somebody, lots of blood spray, and blood pools surround their bodies.

On PS2 with the gore cheat and PC, using sniper rifles and other big guns, you can shoot people's heads, arms and legs off, and they bleed copiously.

You can beat people up with baseball bats, and once they're dead, you can beat them further and make them bleed more.

You can burn people alive with a flamethrower and molotov cocktails. They are heard screaming and their charred corpse is shown afterward.

Despite this, after you have killed a pedestrian, an ambulance arrives and paramedics "revive" them.

Prostitutes can be killed after being inside your car and having sex.

When driving sometimes the radio bleeps out the word "damn"

Surprisingly infrequent, mild language. "S**t" is said a few times, along with some uses of "bastard", "damn" and "hell"

Your character can sometimes be seen sticking his middle finger up at cars when he stands in the middle of the road while motorists honk their horns at him.

Occasionally, when having their car stolen, characters can be heard saying "What the f-", but we do not hear the word in full.

A few references to alcohol, such as a pedestrian saying "yep, I've been drinking again".

A woman goes to a drug dealer to buy "party treats". He offers her the Spank drug, but she just wants "the usual". Her and others are implied to be high on drugs at a party.

Several references to a fictional drug named "Spank", but it's all pretty mild. One mission requires picking up eight packages of the drug. A few people are shown high on the drug with bombs strapped to their chests. Another is high on Spank on the talk radio station.

Overall dark and gritty atmosphere. Disturbing mission boss who's implied to be a serial killer.

When running over a pedestrian, they are instantly crushed to death, making a "crunch crack" noise implying their bones breaking, this may traumatize the player or gross them out a bit.

Some missions can be intense, but there are no frightening scenes. In fact, the gameplay elements and storyline are very dark-humored.
