Once upon a time, a simpler time, when kids had attention spans that lasted longer then a thirty second tik-tok video and people drove their cars while paying attention to the road and not with their heads down scrolling through instagram videos, a world before everything we could ever want or need to know was right in our pocket. For some of you, that world sounds like ancient times, but for those of us of a certain age, that world really wasn’t so long ago. Allow me to take you back to the year 1995 when a new-ish thing called the Internet was becoming more mainstream (here would be a good spot to drop in that Katie Couric/ Bryant Gumble clip “What is the internet?”) It was a time when you would have to ask your parents to not use the phone for twenty minutes so you could get online...

Some might see the low-rated but award-winning “American Crime” getting canceled after Season 3 as a tragedy — but Felicity Huffman appreciates the time they got. “It’s unbelievable that [ABC] did it for three years,” she told IndieWire. “It wasn’t just like, ‘We tried it for a year. Oh, it didn’t work.’ They invested and they also gave John Ridley and Michael McDonald carte blanche. The suits never showed up to go, ‘Wait a second. Can’t you be wearing a bikini, and where’s the car chase?'”
That quality is what made “Crime” stand out amongst broadcast offerings, Ridley and McDonald bringing premium cable drama style to each season of the anthology series. All three installments enlisted a high caliber of talent, including Lily Tomlin, Timothy Hutton and Regina King, to tell three different stories about the damage we do to each other and the underlying issues that contribute to that.

The third season release of Major Crimes is hitting May 26th, and I’ve got your opportunity to win one of three copies of the DVD!
The show, a spin-off of The Closer, has been doing well since it premiered, and the third season was the #3 scripted drama on basic cable.
Moreover, despite not kicking off all that well, it’s a show that has grown into itself, and found a more solid base of existence. The quality has grown in many respects, and the cases were far more interesting in the third season.
Mary McDonnell seems more comfortable, due in large part to the writing giving her a broader base of character to work with.
If you aren’t caught up, now is the perfect chance to get ready for the fourth season.
Take a look at more info on the season, and enter to win your copy!

Every crime procedural knows there is one essential step in every murder investigation, the medical examiner’s autopsy. Without the critical information provided from that examination many criminals would roam free never accountable for their heinous crimes. In the TNT series Major Crimes, star Jonathan Del Arco portrays Deputy Medical Examiner Dr. Morales and in an exclusive interview he talked about how budget cuts may adversely affect the medical examiner’s office this next season, as well as the joys of portraying such an unexpectedly humorous character.
It seems like Major Crimes is picking up for its 2nd season full steam ahead.
Jonathan: It’s going to be a great season. The scripts are just fantastic!
It also feels like the show has picked up the pace a bit, like they used to leisurely work their way through crimes, and now it feels like they are under the gun to work a little faster.

"Bones" has a daunting number of pins in the air as it juggles the last two episodes of Season 6.
A recurring -- or possibly regular -- cast member dies in the penultimate episode, prompting a possible hook-up between Booth (David Boreanaz) and Brennan (Emily Deschanel). Angela (Michaela Conlin) and Hodgins (T.J. Thyne) are about to deliver their (potentially blind) baby. And the start-date for Season 7 is uncertain given Deschanel's real life pregnancy.
All of this is fodder for endless speculation and dissection over the coming weeks, but what we'd really like to figure out right now is... who's going to die this Thursday?
Based on promos and the episode's cast, we're most concerned for the fates of Sweets (John Francis Daley) or the not-so-pivotal Mr. Nigel-Murray (Ryan Cartwright). Each seem to stand an equal chance of being on the other end of sniper Jacob Broadsky's (Arnold Vosloo) rifle -- though based on the whimsical,...

O.J. Simpson: The D.A. Was an 'A**hole'
It wasn't enough for O.J. Simpson that prosecutors bungled his murder case and allowed him to be free for more years than he should have ... he also called the D.A. who prosecuted him an "a**hole" ... and it's all on tape.
We've obtained footage of Simpson, shot 5 years ago for a documentary -- which shows O.J. driving through Brentwood -- the L.A. area where he slaughtered Ron Goldman and Nicole Brown Simpson back in 1994.
In one of the clips, O.J. points out the home of former District Attorney Gil Garcetti and screams, "A**hole!"
In the documentary, titled "O.J. Monster or Myth?” -- Simpson also bragged that he has hidden assets from Fred Goldman.

Shephard, Robin re-up with WBTV
Greer Shephard and Michael M. Robin are staying put at Warner Bros. Television. The producing duo behind FX's Golden Globe-winning drama Nip/Tuck and TNT's breakout hit The Closer, has signed a new three-year overall deal with the studio, where they have been based since mid-2001. Although the Shephard/Robin Co. and WBTV partnership produced the well-received but short-lived ABC legal drama The D.A., it is in cable -- an area in which WBTV had not been very active -- that Shephard and Robin have found great success, first with Ryan Murphy's hit plastic surgery drama Nip/Tuck, which returns for a third season in the fall, and most recently with The Closer.

CBS holds court with its March Madness coverage
ABC's limited-run drama The D.A., starring Steven Weber as a crusading district attorney, had a rough debut Friday against CBS' NCAA tournament coverage and NBC's Crossing Jordan. CBS' coverage of the men's college basketball championships got off to a solid start Thursday, thanks to a major assist from a primetime double-overtime bout between DePaul and Dayton. Viewership of college hoops stayed healthy for CBS on Friday and Saturday (though reliable national estimates for CBS' live game coverage won't be available until today). CBS and the NCAA are eager to see a Nielsen rebound from last year, when the start of the war in Iraq hurt the viewer turnout for March Madness. On Thursday, DePaul's 76-69 double-overtime victory over Dayton delivered a 6.7 household rating/11 share in Nielsen's overnight metered markets from 9:45 p.m.-12:15 a.m. EST, which marked a 43% spike from the comparable game in last year's tournament.
