The novel was awarded in October 2005, with the Award Rainbow, the Portugal ILGA Association for their contribution in the fight against discrimination and homophobia.
The exterior of the huge mansion Luiza and Mario were filmed in the Plaza de Diu # 3 in Restelo. The same house was also used in soap operas Crosswords (soap opera) (1986) and Salt Lives (1996).
The recordings of the first episodes were eventually repeated. Technical errors led to NBP to redo it and some roles have changed. José Fidalgo and Alexandre Ferreira exchanged the roles originally planned.
