With tons of movies releasing week after week, you tend to miss many, and this is one such movie you'll regret missing after watching it.
This story follows a young boy and girl who meet on a journey from Ooty to Kerala, only to fall in love. However, destiny has other plans for them.
This light-hearted tale is highly relatable, as it could be the story of anyone around us. The ups and downs in the narrative keep you engaged throughout. The beautiful locales of Ooty and Coorg add a special flavor to the movie.
Shane Nigam, in the lead, does full justice to his "boy next door" character, and his innocent charm works in his favor. Pavithralakshmi, making her Malayalam debut, is perfect and brings a fresh appeal to the film. And you would find her uncanny resemblance to Samyuktha Menon. The other characters are decent too, with a special mention to Basil Joseph's comedic cameo, which adds a unique touch.
Jeevan Jojo makes his directorial debut with this movie, showing great potential and delivering a breezy, fun film. The songs are a bit of a letdown, and with Shane in the lead, better music and choreography could have elevated the movie and enhanced its promotion.
It's certainly a family movie with young romance at its core. If you love this genre, give it a try. #pranureviews #Ullasam #UllasamReview.
