Some parts of the movie are hilariously awesome. The movie is such an honest satire about the society. I love the parallel they draw with the POTUS, the son, the dialogue saying "if she wasn't my mother" (Remember Trump's comment on Ivanka?). The way science is also politics. ("We are for the jobs the comet will bring." LOL). The sex party at the time world was ending.
But the movie could have done a little better. It did not explore (albeit satirically) the geopolitical consequential events. The whole movie only focused on USA alone. A little should have been shown about how diplomacy failed as well.
Having said that..... humanity, though given all its shortcomings and stupidity, I honestly do not think what happened in the movie would conspire in real world. Credit where credit is due.
