Written by Will Honley and April Maguire, the story focuses on "Alice, a lifelike artificially intelligent android, who has the ability to take care of any family and home. Looking for help with the housework, a struggling father (Morrone) purchases Alice after his wife becomes sick. The concept is obviously very similar to another recent killer AI horror flick which borrows its title from Ms. Fox's first name, but director S.K. Dale's previous movie with Fox, Till Death, is actually well worth a watch.

The director and star of the better-than-expected Till Death (2021) are back together again for Subservience, with Megan Fox starring as a lifelike artificially intelligent android.

The Big Bang Theory alum took to TikTok over the weekend to thank well-wishers “for of the good wishes and all the love” after revealing her diagnosis.

“I have great news which is that I am cancer-free,” she said Saturday. “The surgery last week went great, all the reports I got back are that it worked out and I don’t need to do any more treatment.”

She also thanked her nurses and doctors for the care and for “figuring [the diagnosis] out early, because I am very very lucky and I know that.”

Originally shot as Abyzou, The Offering begins with the camera slowly moving through rooms filled with candles and symbols. A rooster jumps into view, only to have its throat cut as part of a ritual. But this isn’t some voodoo ceremony or satanic offering, this is Hasidic mysticism. And, like so many other forms of magic, it doesn’t end well for the practitioner.

Art has come home, hoping to reconcile with his much more Orthodox father Saul. His wife Claire. has come along as well, although being told “Art may love you, but you’ll never be family” has made her less than enthusiastic about the trip. They hope the prospect of a grandchild will soften his attitude. We soon find out that the old man has indeed softened his opinions about Claire.

Screen Media announced today the acquisition of all North American rights to the action film The Bricklayer.

Directed by Renny Harlin (Cliffhanger, Die Hard 2) and written by Matt Johnson (Into The Blue) and Hanna Weg (Septembers of Shiraz) based on a novel by Noah Boyd, the film stars Aaron Eckhart (The Dark Knight, Olympus Has Fallen, Thank You for Smoking), Nina Dobrev (xXx: Return of Xander Cage, Let’s Be Cops), Clifton Collins Jr. (“Westworld,” Jockey) Tim Blake Nelson (Nightmare Alley, Naked Singularity), and Ilfenesh Hadera (Baywatch).

Screen Media is planning a day-and-date theatrical and on demand release summer 2023.

Exclusive: Screen Media has acquired North American rights to Renny Harlin’s actioner The Bricklayer from Millennium Films, slating the pic for release in theaters and on VOD next summer. The Chicken Soup for the Soul Entertainment company has also unveiled a new still from the film, starring Aaron Eckhart (The Dark Knight) and Nina Dobrev (xXx: Return of Xander Cage), which can be found below.

Millennium Media has closed a raft of key sales on Erlingur Thoroddsen’s The Piper, a dark retelling of the Pied Piper legend starring Julian Sands and Charlotte Hope.

The story of a young composer who is given the opportunity of a lifetime has gone to Metropolitan (France), Telepool (Germany), Studiocanal (Australia/New Zealand), Eagle Films (Middle East), Dfw (Benelux) and Vertice.

Millennium Media is reuniting with Till Death director S.K. Dale on sci-fi thriller Subservience and will commence worldwide sales at Cannes later this month.

After working on the Megan Fox horror thriller Dale has proved himself to be highly adept in the contained thriller and genre space and the company anticipates an autumn start on principal photography.

Subservience is based on a screenplay by Will Honley (Escape Room: Tournament Of Champions) and April Maguire (Lost Girls) and centres on a struggling father who purchases a domestic Sim – an android assistant – to help care for his house and family.

Sitting down to write this review of “Till Death,” I was surprised that the word count for just my notes was a whopping 1,400 words. While I tend to take very extensive notes for each episode, what sets “Till Death” apart is that much of my notes is devoted to ranting. Much of my frustration (as both reviewer and fan) stems from my disappointment with this season’s aimlessness. Why should viewers care about solving a 40-year-old murder case, or Sarah’s sudden interest in finding Wendell? Those both felt like filler episodes to me, and “Till Death” likewise does little to advance the overall story.

Screen Media has nabbed North American rights to Black Friday, an alien invasion holiday horror film starring Bruce Campbell (The Evil Dead), Devon Sawa (Final Destination), Ivana Baquero (Pan’s Labyrinth), Ryan Lee (Goosebumps), Michael Jai White (Arrow) and Stephen Peck, ahead of its Fantastic Fest world premiere, with plans for a day-and-date release in November.

Una Stubbs, beloved actor on television shows like “Sherlock,” “Worzel Gummidge,” “Till Death Us Do Part” and “EastEnders,” has died aged 84.

She died at her home in Edinburgh surrounded by her family, her agent Rebecca Blond said. She had been ill for a few months, the agent told BBC News.

“We are desperately sad to have lost not only a wonderful actress, whose screen and stage career, spanning over 50 years, was so extraordinarily varied, from ‘Till Death Us Do Part’ to ‘Sherlock,’ as well as memorable performances in the West End, at the Old Vic, Donmar Warehouse, Sheffield Crucible and National Theatre, but also a wickedly funny, elegant, stylish, graceful, gracious and kind and constant friend,” Blond said.

Stubbs debuted with TV show “Rush Hour” in 1958. Her last major role was playing Sherlock Holmes’ landlady Mrs Hudson in BBC series “Sherlock” starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman.

Stubbs died in Edinburgh on Thursday surrounded by her family, according to a statement from her family.

“Mum passed away quietly today with her family around her, in Edinburgh. We ask for privacy and understanding at this most difficult and sad of times,” the family said in a statement to TheWrap.

Una Stubbs was best known for playing the liberal daughter of a reactionary working-class dad in the 1960s British sitcom “‘Till Death Do Us Part,” which ran for seven seasons from 1965-75 and inspired Norman Lear’s U.S. hit “All in the Family.” In the last decade, she regained fame as Sherlock’s landlady Mrs. Hudson on “Sherlock,” appearing in all four seasons of the BBC series dating back to 2010.
