Rainbow Pearls, Bounty/Demon Hunting in the perfectly established world of Inuyasha franchise. More like a filler season. Distrubing developments from the original runs.
Its a direct continuation from what was left on the last episode of the inuyasha final act series but focusing on different characters that are the childrens of the original characters. Its like using the already established world from the inuyasha series but the main focus shift onto their respective future generations. I dont feel comfortable knowing that rin ended up becoming seshoumarus wife lol, she was still a kid. Saw Koga just briefly for a moment with no dialogues and it was a bit confusing to follow the storyline and keeping up with the sudden changes.
Tbh i was worried with the way the storyline progressed that was very much alike the inuyasha series. But things gotten better later on, so be patience. Instead of Shikon Jewels the focus changed to a new antique known as Rainbow pearls (weaker in power compared to Shikon Jewel but grants variety of abilities original to each pearls). All the three main characters in this series were 'boyish' girls that have their own subplots to the main storyline (same formula as in the inuyasha series). The execution of the storyline was a bit messy and rushed. Many plot holes as always.
Unlike the original run, this sequel took time travel and its consequences very seriously. The quality of the animation tremendously improved. All the original characters appeared, some are recurring characters for this sequel and almost all the original voice casts returned for this project. Loving the interaction between the new characters and the old characters. Sound scores were very original to the earliest season of the inuyasha series - very classic & nostalgic.
All the intro and outro songs were okay. Not something that i would watch again but still highly recommended.

Ejoyable!
Nostalgic, but the animation 🤸♀️
Girl I waited for this sequel and for sessrin to be canon, like omg but I got disappointed because where the heck is the story going? my patient can't lmao and the haters makes me drop and quit the inuyasha fandom, I thought it was peaceful but it's toxic 😃, but I love rin so much so I guess I'll stay for my queen, anyways as much as I love the twins and Moroha, the story is just lmao and the animation 😐😭 PleaseeeEEEEE kbye

Needed to be better like the original, sorry Inuyasha fans
Right so I'm probably gonna get craped on by fans of this series but I felt disappointed by it after watching 7 episodes. I just felt the story could've been better because there was just so many plot holes that it kept me questioning non stop with any conclusion to close that part of that particular scene. I don't want to say too much because of giving away spoilers. Anyhow we don't ever find out what happened to the original gang like there's literally no clues whatsoever on where they went. They might as well be forgotten about lol!
Now don't get me wrong, the music, the voice actresses and their characters were pretty good. However it badly needed a unique story as a backup and the art wasn't as serious enough as the original Inuyasha series (yes I am old skool thanks very much). In conclusion, the story was a failure in this anime series for me and it just failed to have the exact charm in looking for from the original Inuyasha series.

Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon
This series is centred on sisters Towa and Setsuna; when they were four they are separated and Towa falls through a portal which takes her to modern day Japan. Here she is adopted and raised like a normal child; hiding her powers and origins. In the meantime Setsuna has become a demon slayer. Ten years later Setsuna goes to the present day and the pair are reunited. After fighting a demon they both return to the feudal era; with Towa taking some modern items with her. Here they fight demons with their cousin Moroha. Early on it is fairly 'demon of the week but as it progresses longer arcs start to emerge.
I must admit that I didn't see the series 'Inuyasha', in fact when I watched this series I was unaware that it was a spin off from an older show. That didn't matter though; I still rather enjoyed it even if it lacked the nostalgia factor other viewers got. The story is fun and there is plenty of action in each episode; this is well animated and exciting. There is also humour, this doesn't feel overly forced. The character designs are likeable and the animation is solid. The first season ends with a cliff-hanger ending that will leave fans keen to see the promised second season. Overall a fun series.
These comments are based on watching the first season in Japanese with English subtitles.

Sweet memories
I remember watching Inuyasha when I was still young. There's no video streaming so I have to watched it on free TV, after school I rushed to our tv to watch inuyasha.. I really love the show... Now, I'm adult and I really really love Hanyô no Yashahime it brings a lot of sweet memories when I was young.... I also love that they maintain the old school animation.... uhm I hide from my kids while watching this... if they see me, I'm sure they will tell their mom "look momma dad's is watching cartoons!"

For Inuyasha fans of course
The storyline felt bit simplistic since much of it revolved only around parent-daughter relationship. That wasn't the problem though. What kept me from giving this show high ratings was the pace. Around 70% of the first season was filler. Season 2 however was much more interesting and enjoyable. Of course, not at the same level as the original Inuyasha series but that's quite understandable.
I would say this is a must-watch for the Inuyasha fans. However, you will have to keep waiting for the screentime of your favorite characters.
The very first opening song New Era from Sixtones used to be at the top of my playlist around a year ago.

Yashahime tries hard
The three central characters are good, they have potential but are overshadowed in a poorly written and inconsistent story. It really is disappointing how they continued the original story. The anime lost all the essence of the original story written by Rumiko, they should never have given the green light to this project. It's another sad case of Game of Thrones where the original author doesn't get involved, the writers are lost.

Mysterious
This series kept the og characters on secret so far. Fans are waiting and discussing on how they would be. Waiting for more reveals so far. All the best for Yashahime.

I love it
Inuyasha was one of my favorites growing up. At first I will confess I was disappointed with the sequel but season 2 has helped cure that by bringing all the original characters back into play. As for the people complaining about the union between sesshomaru and Rin I'll say this I don't mind. And here is why; sesshomaru was the only one who loved and protected her from everything after her parents were killed aside from inuyasha's bunch occasionally. #2 Rin was the only person who really showed any tenderness and compassion toward him. I mean the only other two women that cared for him died. 3 and a lot of people need to understand this inuyasha and yashahime are both set in a time period 500 years prior to present day and he did wait until she was of legal age they could've made it much worse. For a story that's supposed to be about feudal Japan and things that happen 500 years ago it accurate in marriage laws. This show got off to a rough start but it has definitely gotten better. But If the SESS/RIN family doesn't get the same heart felt reunion kagome inuyasha and Moroha got I will never watch either series again!!!!

It can't be more annoying
4 episodes I'm watching something that could be collected in a single one. Instead of revealing, story becomes more complicated and brings questions. Some made up characters and powers appears, since at Inuyasha things were based on logic, at least a little, and followed some chronology. Nothing make sense and main characters are more than insufferable.
And what after all happened with the characters we already know? Vanished?

Loving the new Series
I am an avid fan of inuyasha series. I am just so happy that they do another sequel for my long time favorite anime since I was a kid. I wanted to see how the old cast develop and who are the new villains that they need to fight. Also, im excited to witness their daughters powers and the girls unite with their parents. That will be sooo amazing!!

Old fans and new fans will be bored
Nothing like it's predecessor. If you're an old fan it has none of the heart or humor that made you come back every week for more. I can skip entire episodes and miss absolutely nothing. If you're new, nothing makes sense unless you've watched the OG series and that has 300 episodes.
I appreciate Takahashi and Sunrise's effort to create more Inuyasha content but they dropped the ball on this one.

Maybe one of the worst sequels you will ever find
This whole series is a mess.
An overall plot doesn't exist so far. Every episode follows the lame monster-of-the-week formular and a main goal for the three girls is not there. Everything is related to the original crew but even after half of the season is over we still don't know anything what happened to Inuyasha and Co. Characters don't behave like real human. Demons look silly and dumb and die within a episode. I really can't believe how they were allowed to release crap like this. Just don't watch this poorly written fanfiction of a sequel, move on and watch the original series instead.

Inuyasha: The Next Generation!
As a Inuyasha fan, I approve the sequel series to the original anime series!
Started watching the very first episode on Hulu in original Japanese and I love it.
I absolutely love the new descendants of Inuyasha & Kagome and Sesshomaru that are now the new main characters; the animation is definitely the same as the original series & the Final Act; and the story is perfect!
For fans of the anime series, 'Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon' is one awesome anime of 2020 you won't want to miss!
(Let's wait for the new English dub soon.)

Not even Moroha can save this
The only good thing about this sequel is undeniably Moroha. That being said the fact that even though she is parroted as being one of the three main protagonists and yet is always shunted to the side and ignored is a small and sad indicator of just how awful the storytelling and writing is for this show. I've given it more than the average "try" for a new show but it's pretty clear there's no redeeming it by this point.
It's just quite sad that a show with the potential for a complex and sophisticated story fell into the lap of a studio who doesn't know how to pull it off.
Goodbye Yashahime, you were interesting for the first episode.
