A Marvel mural at New York Comic-Con has revealed fresh looks at Red Hulk (Harrison Ford) from Captain America: Brave New World, H.E.R.B.I.E. from The Fantastic Four: First Steps, and more. You can check out the full Marvel mural courtesy of Brandon Davis below.

I’ve got to say, I’m loving the look of Red Hulk. The motion capture process was a new experience for Harrison Ford, who has described the process as “being an idiot for money.” Captain America: Brave New World has had a fair number of reshoots, with rumours of significant changes to the script. However, the trailer looked pretty solid, with a Winter Soldier-vibe that should please fans. Here’s hoping it can stick the landing. In...

New York Comic-Con is starting to heat up, and before the panels get underway (The Penguin's is just starting), Marvel Studios has unveiled a new mural spotlighting several MCU heroes and villains.
Though he (or she?) did appear briefly in the leaked trailer, the banner gives us a first proper look at H.E.R.B.I.E. the robot from The Fantastic Four: First Steps. We also get our best look yet at Red Hulk (Harrison Ford) from Captain America: Brave New World, a silhouetted glimpse of some of the Thunderbolts, and more.
We're still not sure who is providing the voice of H.E.R.B.I.E., but there's some speculation that it might be Natasha Lyonne, whose role in the upcoming reboot has yet to be confirmed.
Check out the full banner below along with some close-up shots of H.E.R.B.I.E. and Red Hulk.

Not to burst anyone's bubbles here, but acting is a job like any other -- people get into this profession because they (hopefully) have the talent and the ability, sure, but they also like to get paid. Who knew! It's easy to buy into the PR hype and convince ourselves that every A-lister who joins a Star War or superhero movie is in it for nothing more than the love of the game. That's rarely the case, of course, no matter how earnest and sincere Aubrey Plaza might sound about playing an unhinged witch on "Agatha All Along." After all, even the nerdiest lore in the world can't really hold a candle to the paychecks that come with all those zeroes attached to 'em.

At his age now, you wouldn’t think of Harrison Ford as someone who is keen on joining another major franchise. This is someone who has been the star of multiple massive franchises. Yet, he’s the newest member of the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the upcoming film, “Captain America: Brave New World.” So, why has Ford joined the MCU when so many of his peers are scoffing at the idea?

Harrison Ford may be 82 years old, but he has no intention of retiring from acting. He’ll soon be seen in season 2 of the Apple TV+ series Shrinking, which is set to premiere on October 16th, and on February 14th we’ll get to see him play the role of President Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross in the latest addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Captain America: Brave New World. Playing Ross also involved him doing a motion capture performance, as the character transforms into Red Hulk, and Ford has described that process as “being an idiot for money.” During a new interview with GQ, Ford discussed his decision to enter the MCU and dismissed the idea that he’s a movie star.
When the interviewer brought up his Marvel work and the fact that he’ll often answer questions in ways other Marvel actors don’t, Ford said, “I mean, this...

Several iconic filmmakers - including Martin Scorsese and Francis Ford Coppola - have called out Marvel/superhero movies over the years, which has led to a lot of people (not to mention film news outlets) taking a similar stance.
In addition to the usual criticisms, there is a perception that big studio superhero blockbusters are not "real cinema," and that their domination of the marketplace prevents or makes it more difficult for smaller films to gain wide distribution.
While most actors would still jump at the chance to join the MCU or another superhero franchise, this does seem to have put some high-profile stars off the idea.
Not Harrison Ford.
During an interview with GQ, the Captain America: Brave New World star was asked for his thoughts on joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe for a "Red Hulk Movie" at this stage of his career.

Harrison Ford is no stranger to blockbuster Hollywood franchises, having played Han Solo and Indiana Jones across decades. And now, the 82-year-old actor is joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross / Red Hulk in next year’s “Captain America: Brave New World.” Speaking to GQ magazine, Ford said it would be “silly” to avoid Marvel when it’s something moviegoers have clearly responded to for years now.
“I mean, this is the Marvel universe and I’m just there on a weekend pass. I’m a sailor new to this town,” Ford said about his MCU debut. “I understand the appeal of other kinds of films besides the kind we made in the ’80s and ’90s. I don’t have anything general to say about it. It’s the condition our condition is in, and things change and morph and go on. We’re silly if we sit...

Thanks to last year's Hollywood strikes, 2024 hasn't been the most exciting 365 days for comic book movies. Marvel Studios released an instant classic with Deadpool & Wolverine, only for Warner Bros. to drop a dud with Joker: Folie à Deux.
We still have a couple of Sony titles on the way over the next couple of months but, in the meantime, we're ranking the five Marvel Studios and DC Studios movies on the way in 2025.
Next year will usher in the new Dcu as the MCU starts laying the groundwork for Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars. It promises to be a thrilling year for the genre, but which of these movies are we most excited about?
You can find out by clicking on the "Next"/"View List" buttons below...
5. Blade (November 7)
We debated even including this here because the odds of Blade being released on November 7 are slim at best. For whatever reason,...

Retirement doesn’t appear to be on the horizon Harrison Ford.
The Oscar nominee recently explained why he remains active in his onscreen career at 82 as he returns for Season 2 of the Apple TV+ series Shrinking, which premieres Oct. 16 on the streaming platform.
“Oh man, I get out of it essential human contact,” Ford told Vanity Fair. “I get to imagine with people that have great skill and experience…. It’s fun to work with these people.”
Shrinking follows grieving therapist Jimmy (Jason Segel), who starts to break the rules and tell his clients exactly what he thinks. Ignoring his training and ethics, he finds himself making huge, tumultuous changes to people’s lives … including his own.
Ford stars as Jimmy’s mentor Dr. Paul Rhoades, who comes to terms with his Parkinson’s diagnosis in Season 2 after sparking a romance with his neurologist Dr. Julie Baram (Wendie Malick).

The very first test-screenings for Captain America: Brave New World (then known as New World Order) were said to have been met with a mostly negative response, which is believed to have prompted Marvel Studios to order extensive reshoots.
Additional photography for the sequel took place over a 4-month period, with Marvel enlisting Moon Knight writer Matthew Orton to pen new scenes and material for the film. Reshoots are the norm (especially for major studio tentpoles), but such a significant period of AP led to speculation that the studio must be making some major changes to the story.
Some new test-screenings reportedly took place last week, and, based on what we're hearing, this version of the movie didn't go over much better.
Apparently, two screenings were held, with attendees split into groups with either a green or red bracelet. An initial report from World of Reel claimed that two cuts of the film were shown,...

One of Marvel's most enticing upcoming projects is the Thunderbolts* movie, scheduled for a 2025 release. While plot details are scarce, we do know that it is going to feature some of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's greatest super-soldiers and assassins, forced to work together to either take down the Sentry or some greater threat. Oh, Bucky Barnes is there as well (Yay!). He is seemingly a Congressman now ( Huh ?). His long hair look is back, too (Yay!).
But super-soldiers and assassins aside, we also have Julia-Louis Dreyfus returning as Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine (or "Val" for short). First introduced in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, she has slowly been assembling her team, similar to Nick Fury in Phase 1 of the MCU. However, whilst Fury's motives were altruistic and for the greater good, Val seems to be only looking out for herself and has some ulterior motives.

Spoilers ahead: Don't even think of traveling down this Witches' Road if you haven't watched the latest episode of "Agatha All Along."
If general audiences had a certain amount of skepticism about "Agatha All Along" coming in, nobody could blame them. On paper, a spin-off series to a main show that was itself a spin-off of the larger Marvel Cinematic Universe movies doesn't exactly inspire much in the way of confidence -- or originality, at that. But it's a testament to showrunner Jac Schaeffer and her writing team that, in reality, the tale of a coven of mismatched witches hoping to gain ultimate power along the Witches' Road has turned out to be as fun and entertaining as it has so far. Where "WandaVision" mostly only hinted at the supernatural happenings taking place within the confines of Wanda Maximoff's (Elizabeth Olsen) hex, this new adventure has been able to embrace...

As one of the final major films in the MCU’s Phase Five, Captain America: Brave New World is set to release on February 14, 2025.
Anthony Mackie will step into the role of Captain America, succeeding Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers from the earlier films, but the movie is expected to bring more surprises in this regard.
While many fans are excited to see Sam Wilson rise in the Marvel hierarchy, others still long for Chris Evans, and like other iconic Marvel heroes, they struggle to envision anyone else portraying their favorite superhero. This creates a challenging starting point for the film.
Additionally, the production has faced numerous issues, including reshoots and significant rewrites that have altered the movie. With the release date approaching, reports from World of Reel indicate that the initial test screenings have been quite disappointing.

Anthony Mackie will be the new Captain America in the movie, taking over for Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers from the earlier films, but it seems that the movie will provide us with more surprises in that aspect.
Although fans are obviously glad to see Sam Wilson climb up the Marvel hierarchy, there are many of those who still desire Chris Evans. Much like the other big Marvel heroes, they cannot picture anybody else playing their beloved superhero. This is why the movie has a very difficult starting point.

It feels like the DC Universe is on the crest of a wave right now. On one hand, we've got James Gunn's McU-style franchise in the works. Then there's Matt Reeves' The Batman Universe, which is currently airing its spinoff series The Penguin. And what's more, there's a new Joker movie in theaters!
In the midst of all the hype over the 'Batverse,' The Hollywood Reporter recently dropped the huge news that DC Studios is working on bringing more of Batman's most iconic villains to the big screen: specifically, Bane and Deathstroke, who would feature in their own movie. It's being penned by Matthew Orton, who also worked on the McU's upcoming Captain America: Brave New World. The Bane-Deathstroke movie won't be a standalone film, but rather part of James Gunn and Peter Safran's all-encompassing 'Dcu.' Currently, there is no director attached to the project.

‘Captain America: Brave New World’ is one of the most exciting MCU movies. The movie will be Sam Wilson’s first standalone movie as Captain America, and it’s also going to pit him against Ross’ Red Hulk, with the possible appearance of Amadeus Cho.
Fans already noted that the movie seems more like the Hulk movie than the Captain America movie, and I have to agree. If the reports are to be believed ‘Brave New World’ is going to kickstart the ‘World War Hulks’ storyline, so in that context it makes sense.
The plot of the movie has allegedly already leaked online, but I’m not going to spoil it for you here. Let’s just say that Sam will need all the help he can get, and the movie will lay a pretty solid foundation for the resurrection of the Avengers.

Marvel Studios' decision to introduce Israeli superhero Sabra in Captain America: Brave New World was met with a fair amount of backlash when Shira Hass' casting was first announced, and the controversy was reignited after the release of the first trailer back in July.
In the comics, Sabra, aka Ruth Bat-Seraph, is a mutant with superhuman strength, speed, agility, reflexes, endurance, and stamina. She first appeared in the pages of The Incredible Hulk back in 1980 as a Mossad (the Israeli Secret Service) agent.
Marvel later revealed that this part of her origin will be altered, and the character will be reimagined as a former Black Widow. The Wrap followed up by claiming that Sabra (this name will likely be dropped) will speak "with an Israeli accent, and is an Israeli former Black Widow who now serves as a high-ranking U.S. government official in President Ross’ (Harrison Ford) administration."

Captain America: Brave New World is already mired in controversy ahead of its release. In addition to concerns about alleged poor quality, which led to expensive reshoots, one major character is facing demands for removal.
The controversy centers around Sabra, a Jewish superhero with a Mossad background. Criticism began when her inclusion was first announced, and tensions heightened after news of the reshoots revealed that Sabra remained in the film, despite the ongoing Israeli-Palestinian conflict, sparking even more debate.
Sabra’s appearance in the Captain America: Brave New World trailer sparked outrage among fans, with some threatening to boycott the film. Many hoped her origin story would be altered, as her MCU description portrays her as a former Black Widow and confidante to President Thaddeus Ross, with no mention of her Israeli background or Mossad connections. This led to accusations that Marvel was erasing her Israeli origins.
However, days after the trailer’s release,...

The plots of many Marvel Studios movies have leaked online in advance thanks to test screenings and it appears we can now add Captain America: Brave New World to the list.
The leak was originally shared on Reddit by a now-deleted account and several social media scoopers have since confirmed it's legitimate. There are some big missing pieces but we now know the overall plot, which MCU characters make cameo appearances, and even the contents of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier sequel's mid-credits scene.
As always, it's best to take this with a pinch of sale and to bear in mind that this was a test screening; they're held to figure out what is and isn't working, so a lot may have changed by next February.
For now, you can read through a recap of the supposed Captain America: Brave New World plot leak below.

A (supposed) plot leak for Captain America: Brave New World is doing the rounds online (check back later on for more), and while we haven't been able to fully verify its accuracy, at least one thing mentioned in the breakdown does appear to be on the level.
Possible spoilers follow.
According to scooper Mttsh, the Marvel Studios sequel will feature a cameo from Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes, aka the Winter Soldier.
Taking Bucky's connection to Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) into account, this wouldn't exactly be a major surprise.
The two became close friends during the events of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and even though Barnes' arc does appear to have taken him down a very different path (we know he joins the Thunderbolts), it would only make sense that he'd drop in on his old pal to see how his career as the new Sentinel of Liberty is going.

Speculation surrounding a potential ‘World War Hulk’ movie has lingered for years without any clear outcomes. Recently, Mark Ruffalo disclosed that Marvel Studios never planned to develop a solo film for him, primarily due to intricate rights complications resulting from a prolonged conflict with Universal.
However, the inability to produce a standalone Hulk movie does not preclude the character from evolving within other MCU projects.
Daniel Richtman, a prominent industry insider, recently asserted that the ending and post-credits scenes of ‘Captain America: Brave New World’ are paving the way for ‘World War Hulks’ while also tying into the broader Multiverse Saga.
It seems that connections to both ‘World War Hulks’ and the Multiverse were introduced during extensive reshoots, as the original version of the film did not resonate well with test audiences.
So, what evidence supports this theory? Currently, we only have rumors to rely on since nothing has been officially confirmed.

Rumors about a ‘World War Hulk’ movie have persisted for years without resolution. Recently, Mark Ruffalo revealed that Marvel Studios never intended to produce a solo film for him, primarily due to complex rights issues stemming from a long-standing dispute with Universal.
The fact that Hulk can’t get a solo movie however doesn’t mean that character won’t continue to evolve in other MCU projects.
Daniel Richtman, a notable industry insider recently claimed that the ending and the post-credits scenes for ‘Captain America: Brave New World’ is setting up ‘World War Hulk’ and connects more to the Multiverse Saga.

Just a few months remain until the release of Captain America: Brave New World, the first standalone film featuring Sam Wilson as the MCU’s new Captain America and the franchise’s first to introduce Red Hulk.
Since the debut of the movie’s first trailer, anticipation has been high, even amid some negative buzz stemming from reports of disappointing test screenings that prompted costly additional reshoots.
Recently, details about the movie’s plot reportedly leaked on Reddit, and one of the most intriguing aspects is its cameos. It seems that Sebastian Stan will make a cameo as Bucky Barnes, along with Liv Tyler’s Betty Ross and Amadeus Cho, who is expected to be played by Logan Kim.

Only a few months stand between us and the release of ‘Captain America: Brave New World.’ It’s the first standalone movie focusing on MCU’s new Captain America – Sam Wilson and the first MCU movie to include Red Hulk.
Since the release of the movie’s first trailer, it has generated quite the hype despite being followed by negative rumors. Mostly due to poor test-screening results which caused massive and expensive additional reshoots.

We haven't seen Bucky Barnes, aka the Winter Soldier, since the Disney+ The Falcon and the Winter Soldier series (and on the big screen since Avengers: Endgame), but the former assassin is set to make his long-awaited return to the MCU in the upcoming Thunderbolts* movie.
It seems actor Sebastian Stan feels that this group is a better fit for his character than the Avengers.
"It's always been fun for me to come back to him after all these years because you're growing as a person, and then the character ends up growing," Stan tells Total Film.
"I never would have thought we would have ended up where we have with him, but it's a very interesting group of characters, and they all bring out different sides of themselves," he continues. "I think [Bucky] finds himself way more suited to them than initially maybe he wants to admit, but he's always an evolving character,...

Marvel Studios' 2024 offerings are winding down now we're nearly at the halfway point of Agatha All Along, though next year looks set to be a busy one for the MCU.

Marvel Studios is no stranger to A-list stars. The franchise reenergised Robert Downey Jr.'s career and he has become one of the biggest names in Hollywood history since. It has also launched the careers of A-list stars like Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston. But the Kevin Feige-led company has also worked with veteran A-listers, including Samuel L. Disney has finally realised that the best place for Star Wars is on the big screen after several years where the only place fans could head into a Galaxy Far, Far Away was on streaming.

Two of Batman’s most popular foes, Bane and Deathstroke, are set to share the screen as Warner Bros’ new look DC Universe continues to take shape.
Both Bane and Deathstroke have graced cinema screens before. When it comes to the comic books, the duo are among the more beloved members of Batman’s colourful cast of villains, and it looks like that popularity has led to a supervillain team-up movie that will introduce the characters to James Gunn’s all-new DC Universe.
Next year will see Warner Bros’ new line of DC movies kick off with Superman: Legacy, written and directed by Gunn himself. Following that, a string of films have been announced including a Batman movie, The Brave And The Bold and Supergirl: Woman Of Tomorrow. Then there are planned TV shows such as HBO’s Lanterns, a space cop series that will feature the Green Lantern corps.

Yesterday evening, the news broke that DC Studios is developing a Bane & Deathstroke (Deathstroke & Bane?) team-up movie from Captain America: Brave New World writer Matthew Orton.
For fans of the iconic villains, this came as an exciting development, even if it does seem a little odd for James Gunn and Peter Safran to seemingly be prioritising these two over the likes of Batman and Wonder Woman.
It didn't take long for some fans to point out that this feels like a blatant way to try and emulate Deadpool & Wolverine's success. However, there could be more to the project than meets the eye.
According to Deadline's report, "Exact plot details are still uncertain and sources also stressed the two characters would be in the movie but it’s unclear if they would be the central figures of the project."
In other words, it may not be a feature revolving solely around the two Batman villains.
