Why oh why didn't this pan out into a series?
Although a very dark comedy, parts of this are dramatic genius and are so closely linked to reality that I just cried with the sheer injustice felt as these two warm characters struggled to keep their family units together at sacrifice to their own happiness.
I think the BBC are too afraid of the power of the Post-menopause generation...maybe they think it'll give middle aged women ideas.
I have heard that there are even Facebook groups demanding that the BBC have a rethink on this Pilot. If they aren't interested then why can't Baby Cow productions urge Sky to act on it and produce it.
I want to see Lizzie and Sarah escape to some happiness and joy, and hopefully some young hard-body Brazilians!

Well, we have BBC America i know. But I'm talking about a way of making ground breaking TV without the restrictions of writing for the advertisers. Julia Davis has become the number 1 female writer actress in the history of the UK. An is is up there with Chris Morris and Ricky Gervais.
Lizzie and Sarah looks like it's going to be one of the best comedies of our time. It's certainly the best start to a show I have ever seen. I remember seeing 'The Day Today' and 'The Office' for the first time. I had the same feeling then, that I was about to be engrossed for a long time into some awesome characters.
Julia Davis seems to have gone darker here that she did in Nighty Night. Brilliant!
Well done the BBC!
