Everything Is Still As It Should Be is the sequel to the film Everything Is As It Should Be. This sequel is directed by Erwin van den Eshof, director of the Misfits film series.
A few years since Iris (Barbara Sloesen) ended her relationship, she started a new relationship with Reza (Walid Benmbrek). After giving birth, Reza asks her to marry him.
This is how Iris is at the beginning of a blended family. This involves a lot in addition to her other family and friendship relationships. Together with her friends, Iris tries to find a balance in everything.
In everything is as it should be, the clichés of a standard Dutch romantic comedy quickly hit your ears. Unfortunately, the same soon applies in this unnecessary sequel. This sequel almost lacks any further evolution of the characters from the first part and, just like in this part, they continue to appear as unpleasant people. If her character continues to behave this way throughout the film and only causes more misery of her own, you as a viewer become less and less interested in continuing to follow her.
Because of these milder sides and the other well-known, similar sides of the film, it is almost better to watch other films with better and more entertaining stories to enjoy these films more.
The question remains why they ultimately made this unnecessary sequel. Probably just to make some money and nothing more.
