I just can't expect much realism in a "Royal" movie. There is usually going to be a touch of Cinderella in them. That is why I usually don't like them to start with. This movie takes those Cinderella touches and adds some other unrealistic things to the setting and throws some physical comedy on top of that. The premise also includes the trope of stopping the overdevelopment which will ruin our quiet town.
But there is something about Brittany Bristow. I can't say her acting is great, but she really carries off that super sweet girl next door vibe. It makes me want to enjoy her like dessert. Such a character does nothing to redeem the already unrealistic bent of this movie, but it's still enjoyable.
There are some moments you can't help but laugh despite how silly they are. I thought Bristow and Dan Jeannotte had chemistry even if most of it was carried by Bristow. Their banter was enjoyable if not quite sparkling.
This movie can quickly become annoying especially if you don't like the silliness or the total absence of reality. To like this at all requires acceptance of those elements. There are definitely some times where you either cringe or laugh.

This was my first GAC film to watch and it was a little formulaic, but good. I have been a loyal Hallmark fan, but they are slowly but surely loosing my business. I have high hopes for GAC and I hope they live up to it.
This film was about small town real-estate girl Erin played by Brittany Bristow. She is worried that they will over develop and ruin her small town and she thinks that begins with the sale of the harbor. In walks Theo with what her friend thinks is a British accent. He is looking to buy and he wants privacy, security and money is no object. Unbeknownst to Erin, Thro is a prince hiding out. Will these two make a love connection...you will have to watch to find out.
Both Brittany Bristow and Dan Jeannotte are great. Brittany in particular is filled with this wonderfully positive energy that you can't help smiling about. Together they made this romance amazingly sweet and appealing yo romantics.
I give this a recommendation for romantics, especially fans of the Cinderella like stories.

Had high hopes for this new offering from GAC but found it unrealistic to the point of ridiculous and just hard to watch. In the first half hour - the main character walks thru town commenting to every person she meets like Pollyanna. Then there's a restaurant scene where the male lead walks in looking for some food and privacy and is pestered by the owner to say the word "herb" because she just loves his British accent. He is then insulted by the female lead because he asked for a salad and is told it's a seafood place and he should have noticed the little fish on the sign. Worst meet cute ever and it actually goes downhill from there. Awkward story, awkward pairing with no chemistry and scenes that are just mindless chatter.
Just awful. Movie starts with female lead floating down Main Street, shimmering and greeting everyone she sees. Over the top happy happy happy. Male lead stops in for a salad to the local fish joint. His British accent brings juvenile harassment from an employee to say the word "herb", then ridiculed for not wanting fish in his salad.
Why do the male characters in these movies all wear the same horrible wig, greasy slicked back wouldn't move in a wind storm.
I had high hopes for movies from the GAF channel, but so far have been disappointed. Not expecting great theater, but this was a train wreck.
