Such a great show
I can't believe they canceled this show. I hope another network picks it up. The characters have great chemistry and the storylines keep you engaged and wanting more. The episodes are both simple and complex with enough seriousness to keep it from being unbelievable, and enough laughter to keep it light hearted and entertaining. It's a show I was comfortable watching with my mother and/or friends. I love the relationship that Todd has his with mother and siblings. I could write so much more but with the show being canceled I am sure this is useless feedback. In any event, I truly hope that another network continues with show as it is truly worth watching while decompressing from daily tasks..

Ridiculous cancellation!
Well, CBS should be ashamed of themselves for cancelling So Help Me Todd. It's a popular show, as the rating here shows.
It's a fresh take on the crime procedural/whodunit genre. The cast are excellent and the writing is really good. There's interesting crimes to solve every week and the interaction between the principals is such great fun, with wit and humour.
I simply cannot understand CBS policy. Why cancel a popular show halfway through a season? And yet other dross shows, with poor ratings, survive. Network politics? Quite frankly, it's almost at the point where it's not worth investing time in a new show until it's been renewed to at least two more seasons, then binge-watch to catch up.
I am fed up with investing my time in a show, only to have the network pull the rug from under my feet.

Enjoying this
It is a difficult thing to do, a comic drama, but this show manages to do that with finesse and style. Marcia Gay Hardin and Skylar Astin as mother/son collaborators in crime work. I have never seen Marcia Gay do comedy and she does well. Skyler Astin is a hoot and so charismatic. They play off each other so well. The supporting cast all do their jobs well. When I heard that Geena Davis had left the project I was not expecting much as that often sparks trouble, but she is not missed in the show. I love the deadpan sister who appears in the show and the nasty co worker who assigns Skylar's character to a storage room for an office. The comedic aspect of the show is what drives it and makes it different from another procedural. Thursday night is a good spot. One of my favorites this season.

PLEASE DO NOT CANCEL "So Help Me Todd"
"So Help Me Todd" is an absolute gem of a show that deserves to stay on the airwaves. Its blend of wholesome humor, creativity, and focus on family dynamics makes it a standout in today's television landscape. As a viewer, it's been a refreshing delight, quickly becoming my favorite new show in quite some time.
The charming characters and witty storytelling make it a joy to watch, and I can't imagine why CBS would even consider canceling such a delightful series. Great mystery and intrigue. Amazing chemistry will all the cast members.
Here's hoping they recognize its value and keep the laughter and heartwarming moments coming for seasons to come.

DON'T CANCEL TODD!
This is such an enjoyable show. The dialog is fast-paced and clever. The characters and storylines are fully developed and engaging. It's incomprehensible how network executives can renew inane copy-cat shows that look like every other prime time show and not renew So Help Me Todd. This show has everything we love about the detective genre combined with well-written legal procedural and heartfelt family drama. There are so many more stories to be told about these skillfully portrayed characters. Even if there are only two seasons, take time to watch this show. You'll be glad you did. And CBS, please find a way to keep this show in production.

One of the better shows
Why did this get canceled?? Netflix or AppleTv should buy this series and keep making it. Such a good cast, stories and fun. So Help Me Todd is a fun legal dramedy mystery series with good performances. The running gags are humorous and the character development introduced so far is compelling. Can't find fault with anything about it. It's a light show not a serious detective drama. Very watchable. Hardin is a curmudgeon sometimes offers good contrast with Astin playing her private eye son who's recovering from bad decisions. I look forward to seeing how the show progresses and am optimistic it will get better. It's no Better Call Saul but it could get there. Maybe a karaoke scene is required to get some singing in the show!!

My husband & I laugh like crazy...LOVE this sitcom
Every week "So Help Me Todd" is another unique episode. It's clean, it's funny, it's silly and it's interesting all at the same time. A real good family program... not junk! Who could ask for anything more.
"Outstanding job" to the writers and it has the perfect cast of actors. The interactions between characters is real and uniquely funny.
Finally, a program we're able to watch with our grand kids who are in their early teens and any of our friends or family; it's great for all ages.
Thank you... we need more programs like this.
Please keep this going... I need more belly laughs.
Thank you, Rosalie.

Finally something cute to watch!
Love this show so far!!!! It's so cute, a bit dramatic, but perfect this day and age!!! With so many things on tv that are regurgitated, boring and downright awful I'm so glad they made something that's light and cute to watch!!!! We can finally watch something on tv that's not over complicated and completely new.
Seriously if you are looking for something to watch that gives you good feels this is it. Seriously hope they continue to make this cute series. Don't expect anything over stimulating. This is for the people looking for something light and something. Sorry for the over used words but I just wanted to give props to this show!

Pretty silly story lines and I love it!
This show reminds me of any number of shows on the USA Network in the late 90s or early 2000s. The little mysteries are solvable within minutes of the story unfolding and much of what happens in each episode is seriously convoluted and utterly ridiculous. But I can't help watching it and I just love the show. It's really about the cast. Marcia Gay Harden, Skylar Astin, and Madeline Wise perfectly embody their characters and have fantastic chemistry. The supporting cast is also very good. Across the board the actors are all in, embracing the silly, sometimes playing it perfectly straight, and sometimes a little wacky, and it just works! It's fun and silly and quirky and I think it will get better as time goes on and the writers and producers embrace what works and throw out what doesn't. I look forward to watching this each week as a distraction from the real world.
Unexpectedly Charming
I have to say that when I saw the idea behind the show I wasn't immediately taken by this. But then I got VERY sick and was stuck at home and it felt like I'd watched everything, so I gave it a shot. Wow... I was so surprised how much I enjoyed it.
This show definitely stretches the limit on how the law works and isn't the most accurate... But that's not why you watch a show like this. This show has heart and made me smile every single episode. I like how each character is slowly built and I really hope there's another season so I can learn more about some of the others!
Hands down the star of each scene is Marcia Gay Harden. The other actors around her are also good, but she really commands the screen when she's on it. Hope you give it a shot!

Like the show from the beginning
In the beginning the show captured me and I couldn't wait to see another episode. I sympathized with the character Todd and wanted very much to see him succeed, but the last two episodes seem to make him look like a ridiculous bumbling fool. The episode of the broker just caused me to be annoyed with Todd's ramblings and I cringed with every word. The characters of Margaret and Gus are so delightful very enjoyable to watch. The character of Allison is adorable and I'm rooting for her but that hair color washed her out and makes her look like a ghost. The character of Lionel and that FBI agent whatever her name is are great I wouldn't change a thing. The other characters are joy to watch. In whole the characters are great together and I look forward to seeing the next episode but please rethink Todd's over exaggerated silliness while keeping his fun quirkiness.

The chemistry is getting better...
5 episodes in and I still want more. It's entertaining. The chemistry is getting better as each episode happens. And after you realize that the distant relationship between the characters in the beginning is part of the underlying backstory, it's easy to start liking them all. I'm enjoying the show and the acting. It's not like they're going for an Oscar or something. It's one of those shows that you just let happen and it pays you back with a few twists and turns, a couple laughs and satisfying story-lines. Enjoy it with a cocktail or something else that helps you smile. I think this show is going to be a good one to binge on a cold winters night once a few seasons are in the can.

Going too far over the top.
So Help Me Todd has a great cast (Marcia Gay Harden & Skylar Aston) who are very good with comedy. Their supporting cast is strong also. This show tries all of their comedy skills more than their good acting skills, though. This started out as a cute, fun, enjoyable show but, in my opinion, with time has moved too far to the sarcastic, slap stick comedy realm. The plots are thin to nonexistent giving too much time for slapstick; turning to childishness & losing the drama. I fear this show will face a premature cancellation when it still has so much promise. Please, beef up the plots, & give us a good dramedy to watch again. I know Harden & Aston can be more subtle in their roles with a good plot behind them.
Its a show
This show may get better as episodes are released but the pilot is on par with the quality of a Hallmark movie - just ok. The relationships between characters are ridiculously 1960's comedy. The comedy is based on misunderstandings, miscommunication and an inability for writers to let characters say what real people would say in order to create artificial tension comedy drama cuteness - whatever. The musical track running throughout is just dumb implying that there is continuous suspense when almost nothing at all is happening. I would say the acting is good but that would be a lie. Really not great - the best that can be said is that its a show.

Love this show! Humor and mystery!
So Help Me Todd is a great crime drama that has plenty of good humor, too! I just love this show! It is funny, charming and keeps your attention. The characters draw you in and you can't wait for the next episode...BUT
As usual, most great shows get canceled! I am so frustrated with this same old scenario! You find a show you really love only to find it has been canceled. Why they would cancel this one is beyond me.
I only hope another network realizes what a gem this show is and picks it up! CBS ignores their viewers and doesn't care if they cancel a show that the fans want them to keep. I read that petitions were signed and fans reached out to CBS with zero success. Why would CBS continue to cancel shows that fans are happy with??

Canceled way too soon. 🙁
I have loved So Help Me Todd from the 1st episode! It is a great who-done-it. The writers and actors are brilliant! It's definitely something I've been waiting on for a very long time. It's hilarious. It's suspenseful. This quirky family's escapades, drama, and chemistry work perfectly together. I look forward to seeing the next episode week after week. I really wish another network would pick up the show and continue on with my favorite new program. I want to know what will happen with Margaret & Gus. Will Harry be back again? What about Allison & her new interest? Will Todd & Susan ever reconnect? Are Lyle & Alex really over? Lawrence & Chet expanding family? And what will become of the firm? Is Beverly a villain? I dread the thought of this favorite being over already. 🙁

Marcia Gay Hardin is the reason to watch
Love Hardin in anything she does. I can't for a moment see Geena Davis in the role. CBS probably had to pay her to get her to come to television. The networks seem to be doing it lately with Queen Latifah and Hillary Swank. Hardin seems to be enjoying this role. She's smart, classy and funny here as an attorney and mom. Her co-star is equally good. The mother and son dynamic feels realistic. The rest of the cast is rather invisible but that could be elevated by the writing. It's refreshing to come back to network television when there's actually genuine writing and there's only one episode that drops each week.

Brilliant show
I just loved, loved, loved this show. I can't believe it got cancelled, mostly on a cliffhanger. I'm so disappointed. Why do they keep doing this. They produce a great show only to cancel it so quickly.
I found it so much fun and refreshing, away from all these depressing series, mostly these days when all we want and need is to laugh.
This show had all of it, fun, mystery, crime, family, etc.
The acting was pretty good too.
Love the Todd character and his interaction with his mother who is trying very hard to make it as a senior partner in her law firm and his sister.
I loved the silliness.
They could have at least made 22 episodes in season 2 like in the first season and give it a proper ending.
I really hope that another network will pick it up.

Love This Show
This is a fun show. Marcia Gay Harden and SkylarAstin have good chemistry. I can't imagine Geena Davis in the role of the mom. I am on my second watch of the first 9 episodes. It's a show about family with a law firm as the setting. The entire cast is enjoyable. Any role Harden takes on is memorable. Love the moments when Margaret and Todd are talking at the same time. (Brings back memories of Maddy and David arguing in the 1980's show Moonlighting.) I don't watch much regular tv. But this is a show I look forward to. I hope it's picked up for a second season. The show just makes me smile. A feel good silly show.

Truly disappointed
Love this show and am so disappointed it was cancelled. I even commented after the pilot episode that it was my favorite new show. Excellent and witty writing. Wonderful characters and great acting. Each actor was perfectly cast!!! I was looking forward to seeing how the characters progressed in life...both professionally, personally, and emotionally. I so hope that another network or platform will pick up So Help Me Todd and give it new life. It is too great a production to be quashed after only 2 seasons. There are so many story lines that need explored and it is a shame that the decision was made to give up on such a great project!

Warm feeling
Pilot is a little bit a mess. But the characters growing, the chemistry growing, and everything looks better now.
I always smile on every last scene. This is not over the top shows. Not with big budget or overdone anything. But bring comfort feelings on every at the end of episodes.
I highly recommend this when you have bad mood or bad day at work. Easy, fun, funny, but warm.
The chemistry between mom and her son, yes it's weird, and the son is comically failure, but still within boundaries of "believable".
If the supporting like the investigator can bring some laugh. Hope they're not cancel this anytime soon.

Great actors, poor writers
This series could have easily been a much watch. However, the writers have taken the script to a silly, constant comedy that loses its appeal. More serious dialogue/situations with subtle comedy this could be a great show.
The show hosts seasoned actors who can and do make the drama scene's believable. The slapstick meaningless comedic situations are just too overwhelming. With deeper plots these seasoned actors could deliver a comedic line with subtlety and hold the audience's attention.
Not sure how far in advance these episodes are taped, here's hoping the writers sober up a bit or step aside. I'm sure Nickelodeon can use their talent.

A Show Cancelled Too Soon
So Help Me Todd is a show that deserves more than two seasons. Like many shows it started off slowly, but not badly, in its first season. Much of that time was spent developing its main characters. By the end of season one, everything was in place for a faster paced, more diverse, and more entertaining second season and they succeeded.
Season two evolved into an incredibly interesting series of plots with surprising twists. Todd evolved into a more mature, but still energetically juvenile character. The character of his sister became more important to the show and provided an interesting counterpoint to Todd's immaturity. Finally, Todd's mother progressed from a frustrated divorcée and disappointed mother to the matriarch of a dynamic family. All-in-all, this show deserves a third season. Hopefully, CBS or some competing network will give it that chance.
