The latest look comes from Variety, where this month's issue features Jude Law on the cover. In an in depth interview with Ramin Setoodeh, Law discussed how he didn't jump into his Star Wars role right away. In fact, it was something he was hesitant about. He revealed he had multiple conversations with showrunner Jon Watts.

"I don’t think I would have dived in willy-nilly,” Law told Setoodeh, citing that he was nervous about the part. “I wanted it to be right. I didn’t want to be the guy that dropped the ball on ‘Star Wars.’” Which is valid. Star Wars is such a huge franchise with a passionate fanbase. Some fans are known to be critical, sometimes to the level of harassing actors.

Now, it appears at least one element of the Ewok films is about to become canonical thanks to "Skeleton Crew," the upcoming "Goonies"-esque "Star Wars" series that, similar to "Caravan of Courage" and "The Battle for Endor," follows a group of youngsters in over their heads on a most unexpected adventure.

The next show coming down the pike is Skeleton Crew, and after hearing co-creator Jon Watts' latest comments about it, I'm officially excited. Skeleton Crew is about a group of four children who discover a secret, and then have to go on a galaxy-spanning journey with a mysterious man named Jod Na Nawood (Jude Law) in order to get home. They'll no doubt face plenty of obstacles along the way.

Skeleton Crew is the next entry in the ever-expanding Star Wars franchise, which is set to hit our screens soon. Created by Jon Watts and Christopher Ford, the series stars Jude Law alongside a cast of young actors. It revolves around a group of children who find their way home after getting lost in the galaxy far, far away, aided by Law’s mysterious Force user.

Watts and Ford discussed working with Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni to create the post-Empire era, which is overrun by scum and villainy and a gang of space pirates we were introduced to in The Mandalorian Season 3. Watts and Ford talked about what the climate was like after the fall of the Empire and how they envisioned bringing the dangers of a lawless galaxy, where a group of children gets lost, to life. Ford also confirms discussions regarding "a whole new kind of Jedi."
