The legacy of The Office has given the fans a lifetime of memories to cherish, relive, and preserve. Whether it be Ricky Gervais’ salacious and scandalous David Brent or Steve Carell’s socially inept Michael Scott, the matters of the office are always too problematic to disclose to the muggles outside.

In the US version of The Office, Carell’s Michael Scott, Rainn Wilson’s Dwight Schrute, and John Krasinski’s Jim Halpert have rained chaos and comedic catastrophe in the bullpen. With some subtle but effective help from the rest of the cast, which also brilliantly employs writers as actors, the sitcom has quickly risen to one of the best and most enduring television productions in recent pop-culture history.

Imaginary. Borderlands. The Crow. Megalopolis. 2024 has been a colossally bad year for Lionsgate Films. Whether it’s critical ratings or box office take, there’s not a lot to be optimistic about if you’re a fan or shareholder. This is too bad as Lionsgate has always been the studio I’ve always rooted for. As distributors of the Saw, John Wick, and Rambo they’ve always had an edge to them, giving smaller films a chance to reach larger audiences. And franchises like Twilight (purchased from Summit), Divergent, and Hunger Games showed their ability to make/acquire broadly appealing films. Then they’ve even gotten into the Oscar space with releases like La La Land, Knives Out, and Sicario. But it’s getting to the point where I groan every time the Lionsgate logo comes up as it’s no longer a sign of quality or fun.

Tina Barta isn’t one to hold back regarding her thoughts on The Challenge, and the Og cast member erupted on her castmate on her final episode of Season 40.
The most recent installment saw the Era 1 team targeted again after multiple injuries and eliminations had already significantly reduced their squad.
They were down to four competitors for the daily challenge, whereas other teams had multiple players sitting out to even the odds.
While Era 1 achieved the best time in the event, Tina’s unfortunate mistake resulted in a five-minute penalty for her team.
That ultimately put her and teammate Darrell Taylor up for elimination due to their poor performance, but Tina felt that the winning team’s players would spare them.
However, Era 3’s Jordan Wiseley and Nia Moore gave the daily event’s worst-performing teams’ players, Era 4’s Kyland Young and Michele Fitzgerald, the favorable matchup they wanted, sending...

Director Ridley Scott told Deadline in 2023 that he’d been offered to direct superhero movies, but that it wasn’t for him, after telling them in 2021 that modern superhero movies are “no fucking good” and “boring as shit.” He said he’d already directed at least 3 superheroes: Ellen Ripley in Alien, Rick Deckard in Blade Runner, and Maximus Decimus Meridius in Gladiator. “The difference is,” Scott said, “the f*cking stories are better.”
The case can certainly be made that Ridley Scott has brought some of the best stories to screen that we’ve ever seen, and Alien, Blade Runner, and Gladiator are among them, but what about his more modern fare? Are the stories for House of Gucci, The Last Duel, and Napoleon “better”? Ridley Scott hasn’t had a movie achieve both critical and commercial success since 2015’s The Martian, which begs the question: Wtf happened to Ridley Scott?...

Jodi Weatherton didn’t have the season she hoped for on “The Challenge 40: Battle of the Eras.” Feeling more physically and mentally prepared than ever, the two-time champ (“The Guantlet 2” and “The Duel”) saw her dreams of a third victory go up in smoke after a team canoeing debacle sent her straight into elimination. There, the Era 1 veteran lost a close battle to Era 3’s Averey Tressler in “One Step At A Time,” ending Jodi’s season early.
After taking a 27-season hiatus from the flagship competition, Jodi explains, “Coming back after having such an incredible season on ‘All Stars 2’ after being gone for so long and then having a decent season on ‘World Championships,’ I was really hopeful that I was going to do well. Leaving a champion on the flagship in 2006 and then coming back and having such a pathetic performance, that really made me sad.” Watch the full video interview above.

As always, the fan-favorite veterans include representatives from “The Real World” and “Road Rules,” as well as “Fresh Meat,” “Survivor,” “Big Brother,” “Love Island,” “Exatlón,” “Survival of the Fittest” and “Are You The One?” Plus, longtime host T.J. Lavin once again returns to simultaneously encourage and berate the hopefuls, this time from Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam.

Actor Patrick Warburton sat down to discuss his experience on his new film The Duel in his new uInterview.
The Duel follows Woody (Callan McAuliffe), who discovers that his best friend Colin (Dylan Sprouse) has had an affair with his girlfriend. Woody concludes that he will not be satisfied with any modern form of revenge and instead challenges Colin to a duel to the death.
Warburton spoke about what attracted him to the script. “I liked the character,” he told uInterview founder Erik Meers. “I liked where the story went; there was some intrigue. I think, you know, it has different elements, and that will inherently have some intrigue at the same time; I thought it looked like it could be a great ride, and as it turns out, it was. This was a little film made by brand new writers and directors, but those guys are so talented.”

Actors Dylan Sprouse and Callan McAuliffe discussed the nature of modern masculinity in their new comedy/drama, The Duel, in their new uInterview.
The Duel follows a young man who learns that his best friend has had an affair with his girlfriend. In response, the main character challenges his friend to a classic contest – a gentlemanly duel to the death.
McAuliffe delved into his experience, communicating his character’s perspective on screen. “In many ways, he’s not so dissimilar from myself,” he told uInterview founder Erik Meers. “You know, he’s a big fan of history, he’s a touch pretentious, he’s driven when he learns of his girlfriend’s infidelity, with, of all people, his best friend, that essence within his, that desire to not settle for ‘It is what it is,’ and to actually really do something about it, that comes to the forefront.”

A faux-elegant fable about how not to resolve your differences, made for dudes, by dudes, “The Duel” arrives at a time of intense division (and no small amount of scrutiny over gun use) in America. Releasing as a one-night-only screening via Iconic Events on July 31 before hitting streaming in August, the edgy comedy looks sharp enough, but lands like a rapier with a cork on it, as Dylan Sprouse and Callan McAuliffe play longtime besties who try to settle a dispute the old-timey way … by blowing each other away with pistols.
“The Duel” feels like a pretty clever idea at first, to the extent I found myself wondering why nobody had thought of it before, only to wind up asking why its two writer-directors didn’t think of it more. As it happens, my library contains no fewer than four books called “The Duel,” the shortest of which (by Joseph Conrad) runs a slender 112 pages,...

Justin Matthews and Luke Spencer Roberts make their directorial debut with The Duel, an offbeat satire that explores the ridiculous lengths some will go for a misguided sense of honor. The film stars Dylan Sprouse and Callan McAuliffe as former best friends Colin and Woody, whose bond is shattered after Colin engages in an affair with Woody’s girlfriend.
Seeking to settle the score, Woody drags Colin along on a strange road trip that leads them to a mysterious estate, where an eccentric fellow named Christof, played brilliantly by Patrick Warburton, encourages the men to settle their dispute through an old-fashioned duel to the death.
As Colin and Woody embark down this absurd path of machismo one-upmanship, their loyal friends Sam and Kevin are pulled along, forced to take sides in the dispute. But beneath the darkly comedic surface of two dumb guys fighting over a girl, Matthews and Roberts...

The directorial debut of Justin Matthews and Luke Spencer Roberts (writers of Prime Video’s recent rom-com Upgraded), The Duel, is one of the more star-studded independent films in recent memory, boasting a cast led by recognizable faces like Dylan Sprouse and Patrick Warburton. Although it has thin characters and occasionally repetitive humor, The Duel is an entertaining satire that is just provocative enough to work.
The Duel follows two former best friends who find themselves at a crossroads when one sleeps with the other’s girlfriend. This leads them to a mysterious estate, where they engage in a ritual duel to the death. Matthews and Roberts take some very ambitious swings with their directorial debut, and while they don’t all work, it’s at least an intriguing work of satire.

‘Star Wars: The Acolyte’ was criticized for plenty of things. First and foremost, it had a weird pacing for most of its run, and plenty of fans and critics alike noted weird dialogues and scripting issues.
This is why the critical reception of the show suffered as well, it wasn’t all related to to perceived wokeness of the show.
However, there was one aspect of the show that ‘The Acolyte’ did flawlessly, the lightsaber fights. Even before the show premiered, the cast and crew teased that the show would top one of the most iconic fights in the franchise, The Duel of The Fates. And while it remains up to your personal preference whether ‘The Acolyte’ did that, we have at least to give it credit that it’s right up there.

One of the great thrills of old school kung fu flicks is the juxtaposition between the dance-like choreography and bone-crunching violence. Bright splashes of blood are made more shocking by the balletic quality of the fights themselves. This is the contradiction at the core of almost all classic martial arts films; the spirituality inherent in Shaolin Kung Fu coexists with its potential to cause serious bodily harm. Many of the best releases of the 70s and 80s golden age understood how to blend Zen-like philosophy with animalistic anger, and revenge storylines allowed for especially potent drama. Here are five of the most down-and-dirty payback plots from the heyday of Hong Kong action.

“Rust” has officially restarted production in Montana, a year and a half after the film’s cinematographer, Halyna Hutchins, was killed when a prop gun held by star Alec Baldwin discharged.
According to The New York Times‘ Julia Jacobs, who visited the movie’s set on Yellowstone Film Ranch, the production isn’t taking any chances this time around, as real guns are not allowed on the premises.
“I’ve said it, and I’m going to say it every single time: There are no weapons on set,” first assistant director Gerard Dinardi told the crew, according to the Times. “There is nothing that fires. There are a lot of facsimiles of weapons, from rubber to replicas.”
In the aftermath of the October 2021 shooting — which also injured director Joel Souza, who has returned to the film — both Baldwin and former armorer Hannah Gutierrez Reed were charged with involuntary manslaughter. Baldwin...
