A straight-laced income tax officer suspended due to his unwavering honesty returns to his hometown and falls in love with a woman who reciprocates his feelings, before he is reinstated and tasked with raiding the home of a powerful man.

Anand AKA Mr. Bachchan is an income tax officer who gets suspended after locking horns with an influential man. Returning home to his parents, he falls in love with a woman named Jikki, who takes some time but reciprocates. When they both decide to get married, Bachchan's suspension ends and he is ordered to raid the mansion of MP Muthyam Jaggayya, who controls the political landscape of the area. Jaggayya confidently allows Bachchan and his team to carry out the raid, but finds himself outwitted at every step by Bachchan, who has to make sure the raid is a success and return home on time in order to get married to Jikki. However, Jaggayya won't let himself get defeated so easily; with his henchmen ready to attack Bachchan, his team and his loved ones at the drop of a hat, a battle of wits and good versus evil ignites, and an action-packed spectacle loaded with Bollywood references and replete with fights, dancing, humor and romance unfolds.
