Slow burn!!
One of few in the recent lines of the Tomorrowverse animated original films, as a long time fan of DC and love Marv Wolfmans George Perez work, I honestly haven't been much of a fan of these newer films they've put out recently, firstly the art style, not a fan of the Archer Artstyle, it doesnt feel like a DC original animated movie, wish they go back to that death & reign of Superman to JLD war and young justice art style that defined the DC original animated movies & DC animation for a long time - -wish you guys at DC WB would go back to that! The archer style sucks for dc, it's pretty average. Once you get 50 mins to 1 hour into it the film starts focusing on what the titles about, they made numerous changes from Wolfman and Perez's book, some good the Barry Allen centric focus was a nice touch, some changes unnecessary. 6/10 slow burn.

Terrible Disappointment
Crisis on Infinite Earths was always one of my favourite comics growing up and this is just an injustice to it. The flash is a vital character in the comics but so are several others such as supergirl, Luthor and pariah. This animated film though focuses the entirety on the flash and makes him the sole hero and everybody else is a backup character. The whole first half of the film is just a confused mess as you try to figure out what is happening. Finally the animation style is so lazy and bad that it almost looks like stop motion at some points with the voices not matching the characters. All in all a great disappointment for something Inwas really waiting for.

I liked it
Im not a huge comic buff so I dont know all the characters, according to other reviewers it seems they they did the good all gender swap which just isnt cool, but not any of the major ones.
I dont get the criticism of the animation I think it looks just fine. Voice acting is also great, if you look at the cast almost all of them are very well known actors.
The story is a little weird, like the start doesnt really link up with the ending if you ask me.
The only thing is sincerely disliked about this movie was the character "hoshi". She is this super genius who is acting all brash with a big mouth and is overall just annoying. You know her.. the classic modern strong female who needs no man.. She just felt like a token self insert of whoever made this movie.
But hey.. maybe she is just a dick in the comics and I just dont know it. Either way I really disliked the sections with her in them..

[5.6] Nothing resists an advancing Anti-Matter wall !
An uninterestingly useless, too mild of a 'Crisis on...' DC animation. It's like a walk in a park with 85 years olds, even though many of them look young. The screenplay is not interesting, like an old photo album, the animation is so so, unthrilling, the visual effects just bear the name of visual effects, the score is good actually and better than the rest along with the voice-overs which at times is like the actors are on Valium while reading their lines.
It would have been so much better to have the two parts fused in one "hell" of a production with smooth "joints" and continuity and only then would it have gathered a 7+ to 8+ .

Good in general but confusing
I liked it in general because it was a DC comics animation which I usually enjoy. However, I despise the Multiverse!!!! It makes for very confusing storylines. It's hard to keep up with which character is on which version of the same planet or an entirely different planet and which time period - present, past, or future. So I will probably have to watch this a couple more times to figure out what's going on. Just when one storyline started to make sense, it would switch to a different universe or time period.
Sometimes I think these superhero stories introduced the Multiverse just so that the characters don't have to be the same all the time. Superman could be good in one universe and bad in another. They can introduce heroes or villains that are almost the same as the ones we know well but change it up just a little bit.
I'm sure some people like that aspect of the Multiverse, but I like it to remain basically true to the original concepts.

Not Crisis on Infinite Earths you know
Return to form
I wasn't expecting all that much from this film, but I gotta say I was quietly surprised with the quality. After being somewhat disappointed with some recent films in the "Tomorrowverse", it was a relief to see the franchise producing some exciting content.
What stood out to me the most was the way the film managed to balance the cosmic and multiversal elements with a key human heart - the love between Barry and Iris. This added a depth and emotional resonance that elevated the film beyond the pure spectacle of planets dying.
Matt Bomer's voice performance as Barry was outstanding and truly anchored the film. His portrayal brought a depth and authenticity to the character that made him relatable and engaging.
Despite being part 1 of a larger story, the film managed to stand on its own as a complete and satisfying experience.
One of the most fascinating aspects of this film was how it outshined the current live-action DC films. It's frustrating to see the animated films succeed where the live-action ones are faltering, but it's also a testament to the talent and creativity of the filmmakers behind this project. Perhaps a lack of studio interference? But I'm just speculating.
Flaws? As with most of these DC films, the animation is sufficient, but lacks flare or uniqueness. A lack of budget hurts it, and it isn't on the same level as the similarly multiversal Spider-Verse films.
This is a strong entry in the DC Animated universe and has me eagerly anticipating part 2. If you're a fan of DC comics or just enjoy a good superhero story, I highly recommend giving this film a watch.

Surprise! It's Actually Just a Flash Movie
Five years after the Arrowverse tackled DC Comics' most iconic storyline, the DCAU takes on Crisis on Infinite Earths. Part One generously adapts the source material, but ends up as a surprise Flash film instead. With nearly the entire chapter spent following the Scarlet Speedster, the opportunity to explore the multiverse is barely grazed upon. Failing to deliver what's promised, Part One creates a lackluster experience. The voice acting is bearable and better than other DCAU projects, but the animation is drastically worse than the previous standard. DC Animated films have rarely been more than fine, and Crisis on Infinite Earths: Part One is unfortunately not one of the few exceptions.
Definitely a step back for DC Animation
I was going into this with high expectations. From Flashpoing Paradox, War, and the Dark movies to this? Really? For starters, the quality of the animation is a huge step back. This looks like Dexter's Laboratory from 20 years ago. Another problem is that DC Animation excels when it's rated R. I could almost entertain showing it to my younger ones, but the animation is just bad. With new movies out like Blue Eyed Samurai, how can Warner Bros not keep up with modern standards?
This is a beloved story and a chance to really take DC Animation to another level. It's the one category where DC has been beating Marvel for quite some time. It didn't have to be as gory as the War movie, but some real deaths to show the impact of the situation would've helped. I don't think I care to watch the next 2 movies of this unless they look completely different. All in all, the wrong people seemed to have been selected to make this movie. It's nowhere near as good as what's been coming out for DC Animation. Watch it if you're a fan, but go in with low expectations. The Crisis on Two Earths was better than this and that was made in 2010. When James Wood's voiced Owl Man, that was memorable. Those characters are in this movie and somehow just come off as worse. That plot was way better too. Big L here for DC, get your act together and redo whatever you were working on for part 2 or just lose money the way Marvel has been now for awhile.

It is Very Good, But Will Last for Three Movies
Way better than the last adaptations to animations, this one adapts the "Crisis on Infinite Earths" is a 1985-1986 American comic book crossover storyline that is already a complicated thing into a three-part animation the best way it can (not talking about the TV series).
As with Marvel's multiverse it is the best way to explain all the differences and reboot the mess that DC was in the 80's with several versions of planets and heroes.
While in the same graphic style (maybe a little better tho) than the last animations, this one was a better written story that compels us to watch and care for the heroes, instead of several of the last freelance animations that were just garbage.
Barry here feels like a real character indeed.
So if you are a fan, yes you can watch this one without fear, tho it probably will end just in early 2025.
A solid 8.0 out of 10.0 / B+ for this one.

Not the comic and that's okay
I'd love a close adaptation of "Crisis on Infinite Earths." I also recognize that DC Animation needs to make some money and market a bit more broadly than the six people (self included) who have a proper affinity for "Crisis".
Seriously, that series is so steeped in the deepest and most obscure of DC lore that a 90 minute adaptation is not only too short to fit all the characters in; it's just not viable to hang a marketable movie off of so many obscure characters and concepts.
Here they took the core idea of "Crisis" and streamlined it in a way that I found pretty enjoyable. Writing's a bit better than other DCAMU / Tomorrowverse features, but I'm also getting tired of Barry Allen as the go-to protagonist. I Like the guy but let's switch it up.

What happened to DC animation?
I don't know what happened with DC animation. They use to be the best part of DC. Some of the animated movies were way better than any of the live action DC/Marvel movies. The last few animation movies have been terrible. Everything from the design of the characters, dialog and story. Who ever was in charge of the old animation bring them back. For this being a crisis storyline it was terrible. The story was all over the place I know there 2 more parts coming but this was so hard to watch that idk if I will even watch the others. Do better DC you're going to lose the rest of your fan base smh.

Flash
Date:
March 10th 2024. On daylight saving time.
Genre:
Cartoon, superhero, fantasy
Duration:
An hour and a bit of time.
What was this film/show/game about?:
It's a continuation of the previous 2 films. Which really don't matter at this point.
Well earth's are going to be destroyed while the Flash figures out what's going on and the justice league ASSEMBLE.
The story and the production overview:
Very weird how many of the superheroes don't know each other.
The animation fine.
Story is kind e confusing
I'm not all. Anticipating part 2 because these films are very confusing.
I never read the comics mind you.
Overall: Though confusing still has some entertainment value.
Highlight:
Nothing much.
Moral:
Time. Don't waste it or it will be wasted.
Villian:
Unsure. Wasn't seen.
Punny Rating:
Justice is confusing
Finals words:
Not Ness to see this.

Unwanted Profanity in Animation
I was enjoying this movie up until the point when a minor character uttered the G-damn word. I certainly didn't expect to hear that in an animated film and I was dismayed.
I feel the need to push back against the use of profanity in entertainment, religious exclamations and blasphemy in particular.
Why does DC do it? Do they think it makes the film "more cool", or "more grown up"? I have noticed that DC productions occasionally indulge in the use of that word. Examples include "Superman: Man of Tomorrow", and the live action series "Krypton".
It's stupid and offensive, ruining my enjoyment of an otherwise excellent movie. I was planning to purchase the parts 2 & 3 films, but not anymore.

Good but
I honestly don't think it's a bad movie at all. I'm really excited to see the next one. So far It's doing good, especially since it's an trilogy It has to have a build up with the beginning of a story explaining things. If I had to complain about one thing is I really missed the old animation with the new 52, the new animation just sucks, it's terrible and some fighting effects are really cool, but the way people look in the actual animation is just bad. If they could go back to new 52 and Batman beyond and all of those I bet you a lot more people would watch these and give them better reviews than what they are.

The final hope is no more
The one thing that still had a spark in DC was their animated movies. This was a total destruction of the hope DC fans had in them. It felt like a low budget animation from a startup production unit. The d3signs, animation, direction and the dialogues... everything is a dissapointment all together.
It was so hard to complete it I had to take 3 breaks before ending the movie. It felt like work tot he eyes and brain.
I would recommend this movie to no humans in any infinite world out there.
The way each scene is disrupted when flash jump between realities really irritates the viewer because of poor visuals and transh narrative.
There is more hope for DC !!

Not getting the hate
Full disclosure- not been a fan of TV. All previous criticisms of the DCAU films vs TomorrowVerse are valid. But honestly, after being badgered by my brother to watch this, somebody who always has a different taste than me - have to admit, we've found common ground.
Absolutely astounding story and characters, a complete story on its own despite being 1st part of 3, a common story thread to the other two, it's exceptional.
As somebody who sees the Flashpoint Paradox as the greatest Flash animated or live action media of all time, this 100% rivals it. If a DC fan, give it a chance.
Immediately ordered the second part and then the third part after watching each. Probably the best portrayal of power levels in any DC feature. So, so, good.

Probably could have been a standalone movie.
Here's The 4K Lowedown on "Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths Part One." (PG-13 - 2024 - Digital)
Genre: Animated/Comic
My Score: 7.2 Cast=10 Acting=5 Trailer=8 Ending=6 Story=7 Visuals=8 Direct=5 Sounds=5 Genre=8 Sub-Genre=10
The Anti-Monitor is released in the DC Multiverse and begins to destroy the different Earths that compose it. The Monitor attempts to recruit heroes from across the Multiverse but is murdered.
"The time comes when the most logical course of action is a stupid useless gesture." I am not a follower of DC, so this storyline is new for me. This first of a three-part series felt like it should have been its own standalone movie...it doesn't even get to the main story until the last 20 minutes or so. That being said, this was a good watch that I recommend to those who are a fan of the DC animated movies.

Just watch Crisis on Two Earths Instead
I was/have been a fan of multiverse stories before it became hip. Crisis on Two Earths was a pretty good animated movie with a much more straightforward story. Between the chunky animation style and the meandering story, this didn't work for me.
Repeating to meet requirements.

Almost GOOD enough
As with the theme of recent Dc Animated films the movie was a bit underwhelming although an improvement from the last it was still not good Enough considering the set standard past
Pros;
Nice plot( not really impressive but intriguing)
Nice story progression( This was the best part of the film the reveal at end was nice)
Liked some characters we saw at the end that don't usually get screentime
Cons;
Same lackluster animation style
Too short why bother splitting it I ask( done very poorly)
Very few good character interactions( most felt bland)
But overall it's not a disappointing watch you'll be fairly satisfied.

I enjoyed it.
Not a fan of the art style at all. It felt jarring compared to the previous animation styles used in the DC animated films. While I appreciate the attempt to be different, it didn't resonate with me. However, the story itself, with its Barry-centric focus, was captivating. The voice acting was superb, breathing life into the characters, and I enjoyed "meet and greet" scene with the other heroes. It did start slow, taking its time to build the world and atmosphere, which some might find tedious. But for me, it paid off with a satisfying and emotional payoff. So, while I'm not sold on the art style and I know it wont change for part 2, I hope they don't try it again.

Not the crisis I grew up with,,,just gsrbage
A little bit tangled, but it's entertaining anyway.
I am a regular follower of DC animated films and I can say that this installment is one of the most epic movies involving the most characters. The story is big, much bigger than any of the individual characters, even bigger than the large vigilante groups. It goes on such a large scale that it involves even more realities. But... does the movie really work? Let's see.
For a story as magnanimous as this one, it unfortunately lacked clarity. We know from the name that it's the first part of a story that isn't yet finished, but even so, it could have been a narratively self-sufficient first part. Some things happen and decisions that are made that are never explained.
In the bright side, there is action, heroism, and everything that these animated superhero movies always offer us. The big scale works if you look for an action animated film full of known faces. So, yes, it's a movie that entertains.
As a side note, my favorite character: Amazo. I never highlight a particular character, but this time, Amazo deserves it.
Recommended for fans of DC comics, animations and movies and superheroes in general.
