Brent Teclaw's Frank never goes by "Frankenstein" in the film. Originally, the film was going to have flashback scenes of his father, Victor, Igor, and the townspeople, but was scrapped due to budgeting and timing. C.J. DeVaan's Larry also doesn't go by "Lawrence" but it is a tip-of-the-hat to Lon Chaney Jr.'s Lawrence Talbot made famous by "The Wolfman" in which he starred in.
