This was a nice little dutch filmatic flick on the horrors of the inquisitive parts of antwerp history. its set in early 1600's and the letters of martin luther has made jubalong and havoc in the popal chambers. storm, the boy learns the craftmanship of printing by his father, that do a lot of underground printing work for the protestant movement. he's taken prison for his sins, and storms main task is to free his father from the joint.
its a nice film, i couldnt find any major flaws, its story floats very well, and the vfx are pretty decent. the acting are not eresdivision, but not bad either. the set design and locations are nice and exciting, and the spiritual level are held high through the movie, so it can qualify as a family get together historical drama without scaring the novises of filmwatching.
the grumpy old man had hoped for a dutch spoken edition because i can read subtitles, but nevertheless, its recommended

Great story, solid acting, and, of course, there's the action. Well executed

This movie from The Netherlands is a movie like you want to see much more from.
The screen characters are well portrayed.
The light is great.
The story is well-thought.
The director knows what he is doing.
The editor did a fantastic job.
The dialogue is articulated.
I do not know if this movie has made success in any form but it should. If it does not now I am sure this will be a cult classic maybe after 10 or 20 years, watch my words.
Greetings, Richard.

I wish there were more movies like this about the Protestant Reformation! Great storyline, good for the whole family. I also like the fact that the protagonists are kids (good acting, by the way).
I really enjoyed watching this movie, would definitely watch it again! Highly recommend it.
A great foreign flick. I have been finding myself watching more and more recently and this one captures the late 1500's very well. Bringing you in a time where printing was extremely labor intensive and the church was burning books mandating what was allowed. A young boy Storm takes on the church after his father is caught red handed printing a writing by Martin luther an advocate against the church. His letters were so influential the church did everything they could to stop them and punish those involved. Will Storm save his father from being burned at the stake? Watch this action packed movie that twists a little love story and enjoy an evening with the forbidden writings.

Adventure film. Not great, not memorable, form of Protestant propaganda in some measure, but nice. Especially for the children actors. A film about courage, friendship, faith and noble causes. Touching Antwerp , familiar mechanism of tension, decent performances and the plaisant end. Just a nice film, perfect after an exhausted day.
