If there was a story here, it got shredded and pieced together randomly.
The camera shots are decent, but not sure if it was the crappy screenplay, terrible editing, or the director got bored mid-scene, as some scenes were out of nowhere and/or just ended abruptly or dragged on. A Chinese 5th grader could have written a better screenplay.
And that lame and loud continuous 1980's background music was so annoying and out of place. Credit does go to some great photography, sfx and visuals for the fighting scenes but that's about it.
I'm sure B-Willz and A-Brodz where shaking their heads when they saw the final cut, but I'm sure they got paid well just to be headlined in this film.
Maybe the 25 producers (including Mel Gobson??) should have spent more money in the production instead of paying for the ridiculous amount of fake reviews.
At best, this film is a 4/10 - only for the visuals, but I knocked off 2 points for the fake reviews... I can't stand it when producers do that. So 2/10 from me

This is an impressively bad film! However, as the CGI airplane fights are fun, I gave it a 2 instead of a well deserving 1. I never expected to see Bruce Willis in such a low standards film, but I guess the international economic crisis is forcing stars of old, to become more "flexible".
This movie is about the fight of the Chinese against the evil Japanese. The true crime though is the terrible acting, direction and script. In my humble opinion one can make a great movie with only one cheap camera as long as there are a few good actors and a good solid script.
Bruce Willis can not make up for the luck of script guys.
Next time pay for better writers instead.

Screen play. Steerike ooone! Acting. Steerike twooo! CGI. Steerike threeee. OUT! Bruce Willis has gone from Unbreakable to Unwatchable. Adrien Brody should have his Academy Award confiscated. I tried fast-forwarding to the good parts. There weren't any. This film is so bad, it made me nostalgic for Pearl Harbor! The worst part: My girlfriend can't get her dollar back from Redbox.

I can't believe I actually finished watching this dog. Poorly acted, lousy dialogue cheap effects, Bruce Willis and Adrian Brody should be ashamed of themselves.
Instead of watching the movie, spend time reading the reviews... it's way more entertaining! This movie makes a mockery of the historical significance of the events that took place in China. It's insulting to the people who lived it and insulting to our intelligence. An opportunity was surely missed.
The biggest reveal comes with the first end-credit:
Apparently, this was directed by somebody*.
It's what happens when Bruce Willis needs some cash, if the Chinese can spare it. I hope Adrian Brody got whatever small change was left after Bruce grabbed the bills...
*1 star out of 10 because imdb does not give the option for zero stars.

If you title your movie 'Airstrike' then you better get the cgi right, this fails miserably in this dept. Aside from the trailer pretty much explaining everything and how predictable this is, it's cringeworthy in many places. Let's kick some ass indeed.
But don't take my word for it, watch the trailer, it sums it up well.
No doubt the Chinese could do better with their own history.

I have always a big excitement about war films. When i was downloading this movie, i expected something big . so i was bit of intoxicated and very thrilled to enjoy it. So i managed some times to watch this garbage. The movie started with interesting topic as well so i expected it very high. But alas! as the time goes , i didn't find any through line , i didn't find any convincing plot to be characterized. Making was so poor and the dramatization also. The only question arisen on my mind after watching that how on earth bruce wills signed for this kind of garbage. I followed him since my childhood. So i am very much confused about this one. So i decided to continue after some certain period.
Script is so poor. They pretend it as based on a true event but history interpreted the others. I am pretty much confused about this one too. SO at the end it turned about a absolute garbage for me. I strongly don't recommend to watch this. This is the poorest movie have i ever seen in the near past. I should have read the review here.
Cinematography was also v=not up to mark. But the only thing i care about in a movie is story. so i found nothing in this movie.
PLEASE DON"T WASTE YOUR TIME.

Rumor Willis was only in the movie for 1 minute
Brody maybe 2 minutes
Bad acting
Mostly computer generated effects
Terrible acting
Expected a great Bruce Willis movie 😡
He must need money bad to star in this movie
I hope on-demand gives me my money back since the movie never finished
Save your money Lmao this one is unbelievable
Should be a red box release and at 1.50 that's too much to pay
If there was a half a star -It would be too much

Ok so the CGI isnt perfect. But it's not as bad as some people seem to think. While it's not my favourite film, I would watch it again.
Is there even a "C" category for movies?
After seeing the ratings and reading the reviews to date, curiosity got the best of me. I just had to see for myself how bad things could be. I was not disappointed.
It should be rebranded as a self-deprecating, kitsch comedy. It succeeds at trying to be horrible. In that context, it is a classic.

This is the worst movie I have ever seen, and how some people can award it 10 out of 10 I really don't know. Even the producers and director must know how terrible this movie is and if this doesn't win a razzie then something is really not right with the world.

REVIEW - THE BOMBING (AIR STRIKE)
I love Chinese cinema, because even though the stories may be simple the action is usually none stop and this film set during the second world war is the same, the CGI aerial dog fight scenes are absolutely stunning but.......
A collaboration between Hollywood and Chinese cinema has brought you possibly Bruce Willis's worst film EVER!
Again we see Bruce at his worst and I can only imagine how much he was getting paid for this because in every scene he is in it is memorable for one reason, the reason being you just want to skip him forward to return to the stunning scenery, effects and the CGI dog fights.
Chinese cinema is famous for going big and in this story of 5 people trying to transport a piece of equipment through China whilst having every Japanese plane dropping bombs on and around them is at times quite enjoyable but if you can put up with a terrible script, dubbed actors and of course Bruce then give it a try and just enjoy the scenery, special effects and the dog fights otherwise avoid like you would a bomb being dropped on your head from a great height.
Yes you've guessed it, money equals Bruce Willis in his worst film ever!
I hope he's not this bad in Glass.

Ohhh ... Chinese money... Hmmm... Nice & easy!!
He (B.W) is known that he will take a part in ANY film if the price is ok.
He acts the same... watering flowers, saving the planet, riding a plane...
People have to understand ONE thing about him... He is a comedian!
And one other thing, the level of pathetic in this ONE... wow! Some of THE most pathetic scenes I´ve ever seen! All the daughters and sons in law of the producers have done an excellent job!!
To resume:
Like everything from China, it looks nice from the outside, but it will tear apart in few days!

It's not just bad, it is an absolute disaster and I can't even be bothered to elaborate. Do not waste your bandwidth, your time and definitely not your money - I made this mistake for you - sort of like JC.

This is one of the poorest quality movies I've ever seen. Where the Chinese spent $65,000,000 in this mess defies credibility. Bruce Willis must be getting desperate to have his name attached to this incredibly bad movie.
I've been hoping for years that somewhere along the line with all these war movies being made that the story of the 8 year long war the Chinese fought against a far better trained and better equipped Japanese military might be told but rest assured this is not it. The true history of this long war is full of bravery and challenge on the part of the Chinese as well as the US forces that fought alongside them. There is political intrigue that went on between Generals Stilwell, Chenault, Chiang Kai-Shek and FDR but none of that is given justice in this weak attempt at a story that appears to be written by kids and for kids. The CGI is comically poor which makes one wonder why with such a huge budget that the producers didn't bother using the real planes and equipment instead of this CGI that looks like the work of some real amateurs. The acting is weak as well. What else is there to say about this except do yourself a favor and skip it. You'll thank me for the tip later..

I was interested in this movie because of Adrien Brody ! Was disappointed to see him for only 5 minutes! Story line and characters confusing. At one point when Bruce willis character was speaking - I am pretty sure it wasn't his voice. A few scenes were pretty graphic and intense. Movie coulda shoulda woulda been great !

I wonder what bruce Willis was paid for this poorly directed, badly acted and jarringly edited film. From B grade animations, to woefully boring dialogue, The Strike is moore like The Miss, real bomb of a movie....three stars

Definitely worth watching if you are a fan of world war 2 movies. Nice to get a perspective other than Germany vs the world theme.
Terrible, Awful, Beautiful, Stupid, Progaganda, Chinese, CGI, Horrible, Lovely, Historical, Amazing!!!!!!
Yeah, yeah. Not everyone will like Chinese filmmaking or Chinese actors, but the hate on here which reads likes it's a few sad people is really the most outrageous thing about this movie. I hope the Haters know they've made the movie extremely popular EVERYWHERE. <ovie is a historical drama. Found it interesting. I love history, even if it's not from the US or Europe.
