In this movie Harshvardan Rane (Inder) has this poetry by Faraq Gorakhpuri tattooed on his waist in Urdu, "Koi samjhe to ek baat kahun Ishq taufiq he gunah nahi".
This film is a modern rendition of the novel Love Story by Eric Segal.
