Luv Ranjan has earned a tag of using misogynistic plot for his films and Sonu Ke Tittu Ki Sweety is no different with the only difference being the introduction of Bromance Versus Romance as the main theme.
Sonu Ke Tittu Ki Sweety tells the story of two best friends Titu (Sunny Singh) and Sonu (Kartik Aaryan) where Sonu always rescues Titu from hooking up with wrong girl. Enters Sweety (Nushrat Bharucha) into the life of Titu and his world is shaken by her love. However, Sonu feels there is something wrong about Sweety and does all the things in the world to help Titu from falling into wrong hands once again.
After making hilarious films like Pyaar Ka Punchnama and its sequel, Luv Ranjan goes out of his comfortable zone this time and uses different theme to make it a fun loving film. The movie touches upon some great comic moments that is sure to bring down the house. The interaction of Sonu with Ghasite(Alok Nath), the tricks played by Sonu on the servant Babu and even war scenes between Sonu and Sweety will entertain you to the core. Luv Ranjan is known for witty and humorous dialogues and Sonu Ke Tittu Ki Sweety has some great funny ones that is sure to tickle your funny bones especially the last scene at the swimming pool.
Art direction is nice while Cinematography is cool. Editing is good but could have been better. There were few scenes which could made the film even better but I had a great time with this one. Songs are wonderful with "Kaun Nachdi" and "Subhah Subhah" pick from a lot. Coming to the performances, Karthik Aaryan steals the thunder once again with his outstanding performance. There is no seven minute monologue this time but actor has just superb dialogues to deliver and he does it with aplomb. Alok Nath will surprise you his non-sanskari dialogues. He is mind blowing and is sure to win your heart. Nushrat Bharucha looks gorgeous and does well in a different role while Sunny Singh and Virendra Saxena fit their part well.
On the whole, Sonu Ke Tittu Ki Sweety is a laugh-a-thon which will be enjoyed immensely. Amazing 4/5

Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety is the 4th film from the hit team of Pyaar Ka Punchama. Is it as good as the PKP films or does it fail to impress like Aakash-Vani?
Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety stars Luv Ranjan's regular cast of Kartik Aaryan as Sonu & Nushrat Bharucha as Sweety. Sunny Nijar who has been part of 3 of the 4 films directed by Luv Ranjan is also a part of this movie. The movie stars off with Titu breaking up with his GF - Pihu, thanks to his BFF Sonu. Titu is the wealthy scion of the Ghasitaaz sweet franchise. Sonu is his BFF since childhood & they live together. Sonu makes Titu realize that his GF is cheating on him & doesn't deserve his love. Six months later, he meets Sweety through an arranged marriage setting. While Sonu feels there is something amiss, Titu is totally floored by Sweety. Sonu & Sweety square off against each other. Both proclaim that Titu will eventually side with them. What follows is a series of funny incidents, ending with Titu choosing one over the other.
Luv Ranjan has a flair for comedy. His PKP franchise is testament to that fact. Thankfully he doesn't disappoint us in this movie. Kartik Aaryan is fantastic as Sonu. He is the lead character & he shoulders the film well. A star truly has arrived. We do hope other film makers take note of this bundle of talent. Nushrat Bharucha is fire to Kartik's ice. Their games of one upmanship will leave you in splits. Their scenes together are gripping. Sunny Nijjar is decent, but could have played his part better. Alok Nath is hilarious as the Ghasitaaz family's shrewd patriarch. His scenes with Virendra Saxena are dynamite. The movie will make people reminisce about the two PKP films & its misogynistic themes.
The weirdest part about the movie is that the villain does nothing wrong apart from saying that she is "chaalu"! Yes, she does threaten the hero that she will throw him out, post her marriage to his friend. But then again, isn't that every woman? Are the makers trying to say that all women are evil? The ending too did look a a bit impractical. But hey! it's bollywood. Please don't analyze the movie too much & just enjoy it.
It is highly recommended to watch this movie with your guy buddies & not with your wife/GF who would ask you, your opinion on the dilemma the hero's friend faces - which may lead to disastrous results! It is a funny movie which shouldn't be missed.

Luv Ranjan is famous for his so called realistic movies on youth like Pyar Ka Punchnama 1,2 and AakashVaani. This time he has taken a challenge, to show us the fight between girl vs friend!
Sonu (Kartik Aaryan) is a best friend of Titu (Sunny Singh) since school. He has been protective about his friend all the time. After successfully conducted a breakup by Sonu, Titu plans to get settled and finds out Sweety (Nushrat) for arranged marriage. However, Sonu has instincts that she is not the right girl. I am not reviling much, but from trailer it is clear that, it is a fight between boy's best friend or girl. See the film to find out who's won!
Music is cool. Though, there are few songs which personally I didn't like, but they are suitable in the film's mood. Though, there is a song about friendship, sung by Arijit, is extremely good. Also, the performance in that song makes it more delightful.
Sunny Singh has done his part fine. Nushrat is the girl who always hits the note! Her expressions, especially from smile to arrogance and arrogance to smile, are superb. Supportive cast is good.
There are two men in the film, who can make it watchable for couple of times, and they are- Kartik Aaryan and Alok Nath. No one can think even in dream that Alok Nath can deliver local gaalis. The drinking scenes, the kebab scenes, the conversations between Alok and Kartik- these are the scenes which uplift the film on the level it deserves to be. Hat's off to the casting director for making Alokji 'Ghazeete'. For Kartik, I would say that let's declare this man- Sexiest Youngster in India! Also, no one can pull off this role as he has done. He is going to be the next superstar who can act, and will definitely do for a very long time.
Camerawork is superb. Editing is sharp. Locations are beautiful. The film is colorful as well as grand in the scale. Dialogues are to the point and up to the mark. The war of words have been excellently written for both the characters (Sonu and Sweety). Every punch line has its own value, and people are shouting and cheering and clapping onto those lines. The 'Didi ne kaha' scenes were so funny that I am laughing now while writing about them. There was a group in my hall, which went mad in climax, and started cheering and shouting, as the delivery was superb by actors. I really liked The No Monologue climax, instead just few lines with great conviction. It gives strength to us too, as whatsoever happening there, is in the right mood and on the right track.
So, for showing the absolutely Right way through the film, and for the answer of the question, on which the film has been made, I would like to thank Luv Ranjan. This is by far his best film. And would like to watch this again and again.
Go for it guys. You will put it in your all time favorites. I found no objection in the film. It is sharp, quick, quirky, funny, light hearted, original, to the point, genuine, hilarious, and the best from Luv.

#SonuKeTituKiSweety is an entertaining n amusing film which showcases bromance in detail. Kartik AAryan n Sunny Singh r perfectly cast as two childhood friends who depend on n trust each other. They share an amazing chemistry n u develop an instant liking to their characters. Nushrat Bharucha looks good but her acting isnt impressive. Good to see Alok Nath in a non-sanskari role. The climax is hatke. However its irritating to hear beeps instead of certain words. Why does the #censorboard always behave like an orthodox parent? The running time needs to be reduced by twenty minutes. Rating 3/5.
I'm not offering any spoilers, just a comment. I was very disappointed in the ending; I think that it should have turned out differently, no one really had to lose. I'm giving the entire film eight stars because of the performances and the various characters, but I'm not recommending the film because of what happened (or what didn't happen). I realize that this may make people feel that they have to see it just to see what I mean; sorry about that! But if you've seen it, care to weigh in?
This is the genre that suits perfectly to Kartik Aryan.
Another luv ranjan movie where again a girl is villain but circumstances of the narrative is slightly different here.
Nothing new or fresh for a luv ranjan movie.

Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety Ke Titu Ka Sonu - Reset!
That's the entire movie in a single line besides a few (disjointed) jokes keeping the (really blurry) plot together. Watch it if you don't have anything else to do because you will still like it even if you don't want to

SPOILER: Ok, the heading got your attention. This well-made, if over the top, Bollywood comedy, explores a variation to the "mother of the bride" theme.
Tipu is an effeminate boy, whose parents want him to marry the beautiful Sweety. He falls in love with her immediately, but the cuckoo in the nest is Tipu's best friend Sonu, who shares an apartment, BMW car and family with Tipu. Afraid that he will no longer be number one in his friend's life, Sonu begins scheming to destroy the marriage, doing so with a feline expertise rarely found in the male sex. Unfortunately, for him, Sweety proves she is quite able at human manipulation, and the movie swings comically between each party's machinations to influence Tipu.
The movie has a darker theme, which is its undercurrent of misogyny and uncorrected assumption that women should be bed partners only but never life partners. This antiquated theme was popular in the 1970s but most people would have bekieved that society has moved akong since then. Attempts to turn the audience against Sweety by her admitting a domineering personality and a desire to separate the two best friends are betrayed by the fact that she is merely the opposite of thhe emasculated hero and the riposte, so what?, that's marriage, yar.
It is worrisome that, in the post-Weinstein, 21st century, women are still seen as easy targets to blame for male inadequacies. To make matters worse, the three other main characters are two-dimensional stereotypes, of two hen-pecked male family members, Tipu's grandfather and his effeminate best friend, who spend the entire movie attempting to prove their maleness by smoking cigars and drinking whiskey, while at the same time hiding from character 3, the frightening-looking grandmother, who holds the purse strings in the family.
The dialogue is funny and the music and dance sequences excellent, though there is an artificially about the lavish lifestyle and the way of life in the Netherlands (where outdoor synchronised water sports appear to be an important part of every bachelor party).
In true parody, at the end of the movie, I was left praising the strong female character and attacking the male characters as spineless she-men, with my wife disagreeing strongly.
Despite the moral question marks, this was a good film, and might be a good choice for a group of young people who want a controversial theme they can discuss afterwards.

First of all, be ready for angry feministas and their paparazzis to come out in open and bad mouth a movie! But don't that negative review stop you from watching this amazing movie.
So without killing the suspense (No Spoilers); lets see what this 2 hour 30 minute flick gives you in return for your Hard Earn Buck. 1) It makes you laugh till your jaws pain; I mean literally, I am the kind of guy who watches Hunt for the Red October on a Saturday night, so take it from me 2) Your week was bad? Well don't let it end badly. You can watch this movie and get out of the theatre hall with a sense of happiness (can't say the same if you watch it with your girl :p) 3) The movie honours the Bro-Code. If your ever heard of it, you will understand what I mean, if not, see the next point. 4) It gives you wings! Literally wings. With respect to all opinions, people tend to make horrendous mistakes in their love life. This movie, though funny is definitely based on a subject which we consider shallow, but affects us all deeply.
Conclusion; 10 stars Mr. Bick, 10 stars is all I can give! Enjoy the weekend

The movie is what we can say Bromance vs Romance. It does every justice to the thrown trailer.
The movie is full of humor, and the humor not only gets portrayed via two friends (who are friends since childhood) but also other members of the families. There's one older pair as well, which through light on their bromancing every now and then, which in itself is fun delight.
The story is scripted on very thin line i.e Bromance vs Romance. Sonu tries to save Titu from marriage which seems too much. The film runs on this thin line. He plan's things but fails at everything. It is the friendship that has lasted since childhood makes Titu realize that women's true nature the one he is going to marry (to know what occurs watch movie).
Final Verdict: Do watch the movie, mostly for the fun it imparts.

A quality modern family comedy/drama. Good cast & characters. Fast paced.
Overall=Good & different.
Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety is a film co-written and directed by Luv Ranjan. The trailers looked fine and since I like the Pyaar Ka Punchnama series, I decided to give this a watch. I can definitely say that this was quite an entertaining film.
Plot: Sonu decides to save his friend, Titu, from his (Titu's) girlfriend, Sweety, once he finds something fishy about her.
Story and direction: From scene one, the film sets its tone. The Delhi-ite attitude has been very correctly depicted by Luv Ranjan, which is why his film work. The character work in this film is impeccable. He just makes every character so likable and nuances of the character that he has assigned are so correct that you can't ever fault the characters. Also, the dialogues are just spot on. Never the dialogue feels recycled or taken from some other film. Even the jokes are spot on. The way friendship is portrayed in this film, is also apt. But Luv Ranjan has one issue in all of his films: misogyny. I do feel that all of his films at the end just touch upon this topic. You do feel that is really every woman so wicked and cunning. But Luv just brings so much life in the story, that this so called controversial topic feels entertaining. Also, in the first half the film feels a bit rushed.
Songs: This film has 8 songs. Although some of them are party numbers and will make most people dance, I don't see anything that make the songs interesting or even for that matter exciting. As with the trend now-a-days, we have some recycled Piunjabi songs, which I just absolutely hate. When you can't just produce original music, why put songs unnecessarily?
Performances: Karthik Aaryan was obviously the star of the film. It feels that he doesn't act; he is like that in real life. Nusrat Barucha also proved to be a powerhouse in the film. Sunny Singh gives an earnest performace as the innocent friend. A special mention goes to Alok Nath and Virendra Saxena. Their dynamic duo was to look out for. Every time they came to the screen. The scene just lighted up. The rest of the supporting cast was good too.
Favorite Scene: It would be the one where Sonu confides Titu after he gets emotional of disappointing his girlfriend, Pihu. That scene is very much correct in the recent times and Luv Ranjan's way of showing the scene was so awesome, that this scene left an impression on my mind.
Verdict: Although the topic is very controversial, I cannot deny from the fact that this film was very entertaining. If the songs were a bit less, I would have enjoyed more.
I am going with a 7.5/10.

I was not expecting much from this, but this was really funny! The bromance between Sonu (Karthik Aryan) and Titu (Sunny Singh) was really impressive and very convincing. The movie borders on being a little sexist but I tried to see it as just an entertaining flick. It made me laugh and also made me a bit emotional at times. This was funny, light-hearted and overall, a fun film.
According to the movie's perspective, marriage will break the bro-code between besties Sonu and Titu. The two chaddi buddies aren't lovers but they are emotional soul mates. Director Luv Ranjan goes a step further - the entire film is about a friend trying to break up his best friend's marriage because he believes that the woman his friend is marrying is a fraud. Sonu has no proof that Sweety is problematic. He says, it's just a feeling. She is, in his words, too good to be true.
The actors - Kartik Aaryan, Sunny Singh and Nushrat Bharucha - try to make this juvenile bromance versus romance drama convincing. Nushrat is saddled with an underwritten character. Kartik works hard to make Sonu likeable but it's an uphill climb. Sunny is the best among the three - he has an easy, unassuming presence. I just wish his character had more spine.
In once scene, Sweety tells Sonu that dosti aur ladki mein hamesha ladki jeetti hai. But in the Luv Ranjan's universe, women don't stand a chance.

The plot is a much needed difference from all the romantic movies. First time Bollywood didn't make a comedy+romance movie.
Acting, dialogues and direction was on point. The best part I liked was that the songs in between the movie didn't disrupt the movie, rather they moved the plot forward.
Overall good comedy, good story and a refreshing movie in Bollywood. Exceeded my expectations.

From the team that made the two Pyaar Ka Punchnama films this was always going to be misogynistic. But the thing is it's not as relatable as the 2 PKP films yet this is funny and thoroughly entertaining. While there is no logical reason why the heroine is the villain it's still catering to the Indian youth as can be sen from most of the reaction for the film. I am really being too generous on this film but it could be totally me feeding my male ego! Toxic bromance all the way!!!
