I usually dislike comedies, or disguised comedies, but I must admit that I enjoyed this feature very much; that doesn't mean this is a good movie but I could not prevent myself to think about Elia Kazan's A FACE IN THE CROWD, depicting the rise and fall of a TV or media star. I crave for rise and fall schemes. of course Kazans's feature was a gruesome film, a real masterpiece which only a few people could compare with this one, but I did, sorry. And the director Michel Denisot knows what he talks about because he was a famous, notorious TV journalist for several decades in France. And Franck Dubosq is also the perfect actor for this kind of role. This is not NETWORK either but I don't care. For a French film, that's not bad at all.
