Hum Chaar makes a case for platonic friendships and attempts at elevating it to the same level as romantic relationships. But in the film, friendship seems to appear as a case of failed attempts at love, rather than friendship being the end goal.
The first half is breezy and enjoyable with the chemistry between the 3 boys being the shining factor. But the second half washes away the shine of the film in what slows down the film through its hospital scenes and it becomes a mini-October of sorts.
There is an awkward tension between love and friendship even though the male lead speaks of doing things out of love for the female lead not expecting anything in return but yet it is disguised in the form of friendship.
Maybe failed love becomes a case of stronger friendship where you wish to do good for the person you love and stay beside her as a good, well-wishing friend. Its a case of platonic, unrequited love turned friendship without the drama of friend-zoned pangs and accepting it. Decent one time watch.

Rajshri Productions, known for its sanskari family dramas, is trying to keep up with the gen-x in Hum Chaar.
Four friends, who are separated by an untoward incident during their college life, meet four years after for a special reason.
In fact, just as we start witnessing the bonding between the four, the first half is over, which is also the best half of the film. The second half drags on for a good one hour..!!🤔
But the film has its moments. There is some chemistry between the four friends but those moments are very few.
Given that the film has released during the valentine's week, it may grab interests of young, college-going students. However, they should realise that their own lives, however dull, will seem more interesting and entertaining when compared with these characters.

A man is seriously injured n is in the hospital. His wife is taking good care of him, but shes lonely n helpless. Suddenly, 3 men come to the hospital n lend her emotional n financial support. But who exactly r these men? R they her lovers? Or r they just friends? Why r they here? Can she trust them? R friends more important than relatives? #HumChaar has a good story n some decent performances. Running time needs to be reduced by 25 minutes. Rating 2.5/5.
I only saw it because I loved Warrior High and I am a big fan of Anshumans but I really regretted it. I am only giving four starts because Anshuman is in it otherwise I wouldn't give any at all.
