What Keeps You Alive (2018)
Meh?
Well,
I didn't hate this. I also didn't love it. It was entertaining enough to watch through to the end, but I strongly agree with what others said in the sense that there are several moments where you say, "literally nobody would do that, " or, "yeah.... that's impossible. "
I guess I appreciate the idea of this movie and how it didn't take too long to get to the action. I just think this would have been better suited as a Lifetime movie than a Netflix original.
Glow Up: Britain's Next Make-Up Star (2019)
Ding, dong, no.
I tried so hard to enjoy this show but it just left way too much to be desired. As others have mentioned, the judges are just unnecessarily cruel and inconsistent, the host blends into the background- anytime the camera pans to her, she just seems bored and confused... I just cannot with this show. To sum it up, this show is a poor mix of Face Off and Skin Wars with a horrible execution. And Val, please stop trying to make, "ding dong" happen. I cringe everytime she says it.
Black Mirror: Rachel, Jack and Ashley Too (2019)
Giant dump on entire Black Mirror anthology
Seriously. I literally just created an account to warn everyone about this mess. Honestly, if I wanted to watch some pop princess hate that she's a pop princess, I would go watch Hannah Montana, which is exactly what this episode felt like. This episode took a giant dump on the whole Black Mirror anthology. It's nothing ground breaking or original, as I've said, we've seen this, " I hate the pop star I've become" mess all over the Disney channel and Teen Nick. As a Black Mirror fan who craves my reality check of how we as society have become consumed with our technology and gadgets and the deep dark side of humanity. This was a gag worthy huge miss...whomever was on the creative team for this one should be fired.
