Kinou nani tabeta? (2021)
Extremely charming, heartwarming love story
This adaptation for the big screen of the hit drama (itself an adaptation of the hit manga) is pure charm. The entire cast shines in portraying a tale of grown up love and companionship (the fact that it's of the same sex kind it's almost marginal, so is the naturalness with which it is told).
Highly recommended.
Abominable (2020)
Never was a title more appropriate
Everything is abominable about this movie: the script, the acting, the dialogues, the score, the visual effects, the cameraworks, everything. I wouldn't rate it any higher even if this was the work of some amateur filmmakers at their first attempt. But the worst part of all is that someone in Japan decided that this movie should be shown in cinemas and charge people for it.
Alarmed (2014)
What was this all about???
There's nothing about the story of this movie that makes sense, I mean, absolutely nothing.
The only thing that saves it are the two lead actors Jennifer Stuckert and Brian Rife that, considering the material they're given, are pretty good.
Oh, and the scary level is sub zero.
Just a very odd movie.
