Genjitsu-shugi-yûsha no ôkoku-saiken-ki (2021)

Absolutely loved it!

Really enjoyed this series basically binged it as quick as I could. It's a fresh Idea where the hero doesn't have to be an amazing fighter but instead a competent leader. The harem is something I've never really enjoyed however seems to be a staple in many of the series I have watched in the past, maybe if there was more thought put into the relationship of Souma and Liscia it would've been a lot more enjoyable. Another thing that was different which could be seen as new or just outright silly is the mention of the demon lord who is never revealed or even crucial to the story. Personally I Didn't mind that this was left out as I didn't start this series with the intention of a battle between the dempn lord and the hero as that is pretty overdone in many other series so the fact that it wasn't mentioned isn't a dead end for me. I'm unsure of the current status of this series and whether there is only to be two series as I believe there is an immense opportunity for the story to continue further. The mention of the other kingdoms during the annexation of Amidonia could have lead to more storylines that could've expanded on the world and it's intriguing story. After all that I would Definitely recommend this series to others as it's always worth a try as you never know what you could be missing.
