Yuvvraaj (2008)
This disastrous movie is a RIP OFF of RAINMAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Terrible Movie!!! A waste of my precious 3 hrs that I could have spent STUDYING!!!!Gosh,,, I hv nooooo words to express this stupid movie... FIRST and foremost I hv to express my disgust AGAIN towards Bollywood for literally RIPPING OFF the Hollywood movie RAINMAN!!!!! Seriously Bollywood guys, be original for ONCE!!! try to maintain ur identity and stop stealing stories from others.. Now to the actors.. Salman Khan: was once again DREADFUL playing his character... he OVERACTS WAYYYYYYYY TOOOOOOO MUCH!!!! Anil Kapoor: his character was autistic...THERE WERE NOOOOOO SIGNS OF AUTISM!!! he was able to speak intelligibly and express EMOTIONS!! Damn... first AUTISTIC MIRACLE!!! I'm now going to speak about two actors at once because I don't feel like tiring my fingers in typing too much... ZAYED AND KATRINA: THESE two people can't act to save their LIVES>>>>> please quit.. u're an Embarrassment to the INDUSTRY>.. along with TUSHAR Kapoor and a few others.. and for God sake, Katrina cant SPEAK Hindi... just go back to wherever u came from...
Anyway... just want to say... this movie was DREADFULLY BAD.. and that about covers it all...
Bollywood Hero (2009)
Guaranteed Laughs for sure..Bollywood Hero is entertaining,, so quit it with the hate, HATERS!!
Now come on guys, stop being so hard on this new series.. Its fresh, original and very entertaining.. When I first saw the preview, I dismissed it as being just another satirical look at Bollywood from the Hollywood point of view kinda thing.. But its not. Its better and truly speaking a fresh of breath air..
Chris Kattan does a wonderful job portraying a struggling actor in the United States being stereotyped by his past roles like on SNL and such.. An Indian director, also debuting his first film for the first time, gives Chris Kattan a chance in his movie by being the lead actor in the hopes of globalizing the movie for a larger audience which is not just confined to being in India.
All the supporting actor like Pooja Kumar and Neha Dhupia also do a good job by complementing Chris Kattan's humor and making it seem real..
So for all those people who're undermining this series to be a "Slumdog" wannabe or something. Stop being ignorant and just watch the show. Its fun and very entertaining..
Breaking the Waves (1996)
Mesmerizing and breathtaking is all you can really say about this beautiful movie.
Wow! What a film.. I couldn't have asked for anything better than this emotional roller-coaster. This story is about a naive and innocent young woman who gets married to her love who happens to be a oil rig worker. She believes him to be the love of her life and thanks God everyday for giving him to her. But she also asks God to keep him safe from all harm and danger. Their time spent together is very romantic and beautiful. But when her husband Jan has to go back to work (oil rig), she is quite lonely and waits eagerly for him to be back safe and secure. To her sadness, Jan comes back completely paralyzed. She feels very depressed and Jan sees that.. Unable to make love to his wife, he then asks her to do something for him which he says will help him keep alive. Bess is very hesitant at the start and the fact that she loves Jan so much poses a bigger dilemma for her.
I think, Emily Watson gave a performance of a lifetime in this movie. Her characterization of Bess is just spellbinding. When she's happy/sad/excited/frustrated/depressed, Watson makes you feel that as well. She certainly deserved an Oscar for this role but was robbed of it. As for Stellan Skarsgard, he sweeps you off your feet. His manliness and control is just mesmerizing and also his undying love for Bess is romantic/sad and very passionate.
