Ab Tak Chhappan (2004)
Oscar material from India!!
This is by far one of the best films that India has ever made. Following are the plus points of the film...
Wonderful direction, cinematography and editing, the editing is very smooth and the timing of changeovers is excellent.
Even though the film shows the life of Mumbai Policemen and their hardships, it never gets boring or sympathetic.
Mind-blowing acting by lead actor Nana Patekar. One can surely hope that he gets nominated for the Best actor for the academy awards.
Controlled violence. The violence is controlled and the film doesn't become a bloody mess.
No stupid songs as in usual Indian movies.
The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001)
why number 6????
This WAS a good movie, but certainly lacks merit to be on the top 10. Reasons: 1) In many parts of this film(and in two towers) the director has assumed that the viewer has read the original book. Which is the first flaw any movie could have. 2) Only 'cool special effects' don't make a good movie. 3) Not realistic in the sense that even after Boromir gets hit by arrows at several places in the chest, not 'one' drop of blood is seen.(pls dont tell me tht was because kids could see the movie, tht would be the lamest excuse) 4) The story in the movie remains incomplete, sure it is continued in the next, but IN THE NEXT, so why is THIS FILM on the top 10????
LOGICAL ARGUMENTS WELCOMED....
