The Recruit (2022)
Terrible sound quality and mix
The audio quality and mixing this series is shockingly bad, especially for those with a 5.1 Dolby setup. Dialogue is often drowned out by background music and sound effects, making it difficult to follow key moments. The balance between the various sound channels feels completely off, which ruins any sense of immersion. It's frustrating, particularly scenes that rely on subtle sound design. A major disappointment for anyone expecting high-quality audio production. The series would be alot better if they crafted the music and auido mixing properly. Series is fine, not expecting more series with this same quality.
Om Bheem Bush (2024)
No Logic only Magic
This movie was a huge disappointment. I was expecting a hilarious comedy with those three funny characters, and their group named as Bangbros which is a adult film making company, but it turned out to be a horror comedy that failed to deliver on both fronts. The visual effects were okay for the budget and genre, but the ending and twist were completely unexpected. I think the director has been watching too many English movies and is trying to bring Hollywood ideas into our film industry, which doesn't work. Cinematography, costume designing, both the actress are good. Definitely not looking forward for the part 2 of this movie.
Sundaram Master (2024)
Wasted opportunity
After reviewing the movie trailer, I am optimistic about its potential due to its unique characterization and comedic elements. The initial few minutes of the movie are promising, indicating a strong start. However, the movie struggles to maintain a consistent level of comedy throughout its duration. While it incorporates message-oriented dialogues, their integration into the movie feels disjointed and lacks cohesion. The movie would have significantly benefited from adopting a consistent comedic style throughout. Additionally, there are pacing issues, with certain scenes feeling unnecessarily long and dragging.
Guntur Kaaram (2024)
Bad execution
"Guntur Karam" disappoints on many levels, resulting in a thoroughly unsatisfying movie experience. The fight scenes are hilariously unrealistic, making it impossible to take the action seriously. Additionally, the storyline lacks depth, failing to engage viewers and leaving them completely disconnected from the plot. Overall, the film fails to fulfill its promises and offers little entertainment value. It was a complete waste of two hours, especially considering Trivikram's usual ability to deliver comedic brilliance. And why on earth does Mahesh Babu use a Rayalaseema accent in a movie set in Guntur ? Rotta movie.
1883 (2021)
Disappointed with lightning episode 7
In Episode 7 of "1883," there's a scene where Elsa kisses a Native American during a tornado. It's a bit unrealistic because, in real life, people wouldn't usually be kissing during a scary tornado. The show is generally good at showing what life was like in the late 1800s, but this scene feels a bit made up for drama.
The series usually does a good job of being true to history, showing the tough life of pioneers and the challenges they faced. They pay attention to things like how people dressed, the places they lived, and the problems they had with each other and Native Americans. This makes the show feel real and helps us understand what life was like back then.
But in Episode 7, the kiss during the tornado seems a bit too much. It's like they wanted to add excitement but didn't think about whether it makes sense for the time. In real life, if a tornado was coming, people would be more focused on staying safe than kissing someone.
Despite this one scene, the series is generally good at showing the difficulties of pioneer life and the clash between different groups of people. For example, they depict harsh winters, not enough resources, and conflicts with Native Americans, making the show interesting and giving us a sense of what life was really like back then.
So, while the kiss during the tornado might feel a bit off, the series as a whole does a decent job of bringing history to life and making us care about the characters and their struggles.
Master Peace (2023)
Wes Anderson theme lacks story and comedy
Upon viewing the series promo, I held notably high expectations for it. The series demonstrates a commendable effort in seamlessly aligning colors, objects, and characters with a distinct Wes Anderson-esque style, where characters are symmetrically positioned at the center of the screen. This aspect of the production is almost on par with the director's signature aesthetic.
However, what dissuades me from considering the second season is the deficiency in humor, the timing of dialogues, and an overarching narrative with a lack of a robust plot. While I genuinely applaud the creators for their innovative approach, there is a clear need for enhancement in the content to captivate and retain viewers. My best wishes go out to the team for their future endeavors.
For instance, in a similar context, viewers have praised Wes Anderson's "The Grand Budapest Hotel" for its meticulous symmetry and visual style Yet, even in his films, the humor and dialogue timing are crucial for audience engagement.
Virgin River (2019)
Sick of love relationships
I urge the directors, story writers, and studio management to take into account the viewers' preferences rather than indulging in hasty and unconventional plot twists. Firstly, there are instances where the storyline abruptly shifts, such as when Jack was shot and then inexplicably appeared unharmed in the subsequent episode. Secondly, the abundance of love triangles and morally questionable relationships is perplexing. The most authentic love connection lies between the doctor and Hope.
1. Why did Dan Brady break up with Brie, only for Brie to then pursue a romantic relationship with the detective, initiating a new storyline?
2. Why does Lizzie seem to fall in love with every teenager she encounters, creating multiple romantic subplots? Additionally, her initial interest in Dan is conveniently forgotten.
3. Jack's repeated involvement with Mel raises questions about his relationship choices.
4. John's seemingly perfect relationship with Paige takes a sudden turn when she leaves, and he becomes entangled with another woman.
5. Even the new character, Dr. Cameron, initially in love with Mel, is now involved with an older woman, which appears disconnected from the narrative.
While character relationships can evolve, these transitions appear disjointed and unnecessary. Overall, the story is getting dragged season over season after 3, its better to have this show ended than stretching like a bubble gum.
Baby (2023)
Director should stick to Comedy movies
First of all not a great movie, its so cringe. Story is not new, 8 out of 10 movies in telugu film industry are just love stories shuffling, industry should come of this routine boring love stories and think out of the box and creativity. Creating a love story by Rearranging existing love stories is not a great move. This movie from the beginning to the end is so boring and the hype that was created just looks like a PR stunt and only nibba nibbis like this movie as it has commercial and hot elements. The only good thing about this movie is the hope that boys dont fall in love again in their unmatured age. Hero acting is good and improved compare to older films.
Rangabali (2023)
Old story with commercial elements
Rangabali movie's narrative draws clear inspiration from the intricate web of local Andhra political rivalries that dominated the 90s. While this nostalgic nod might resonate with some viewers, the film leaves a few elements that merit consideration.
For families looking to enjoy a cinematic outing, it's worth noting that Rangabali might not be the best choice if you have kids in tow. The presence of explicit liplock scenes, item songs, and intense violence throughout the movie could potentially be unsettling for younger audiences.
In terms of storytelling, it's my hope that the creators of Rangabali venture beyond the confines of conventional narratives. The film seems to blend multiple plotlines, and while experimentation is commendable, it can sometimes lead to a disjointed viewing experience.
Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam (2022)
Great effort with poor execution
I had high hopes for this movie, but unfortunately, the background music completely ruined the entire experience for me. Not only was the music poorly composed and poorly executed, but it was also drowned out by the constant sound of a television playing in the background.
As a viewer, I found it extremely difficult to focus on the storyline and dialogue because of the distracting and unnecessary noise. It felt as though the filmmakers were trying to create an atmosphere by adding the TV sound, but it ultimately took away from the overall viewing experience.
Furthermore, the use of the same monotonous music throughout the movie made it even more tedious to watch, director should think once why there is a tv sound even on streets ? Such a lazy attempt.
Overall, while the movie may have had potential, the poor background music completely ruined it for me. I would not recommend this film to anyone looking for an enjoyable viewing experience.
HIT: The 2nd Case (2022)
Predictable and missing
Hero characterization : Hero characterization has unnecessary elements which are far off from the reality. In general the police in real life are not near to this hero. Director showed hero in little less serious and lover angle in some scenes. HIT part 1 visvakshen attitude and seriousness is missing in this movie. Shesh did a great job in major but this movie needs more serious face looks etc.
Music : where is that background music ? Movie should be alot better it has a suspense background theme music similar to Ratsasan movie background music. It would make this movie more serious and interesting.
Editing: Too mant mistakes with scene timelines, example: when suhas cut heroine hand blood fall on the floor, next scene there is no blood on the floor. Another director mistake, hero drive the vehicle but he sits in passenger seat in two scenes.
All the best to nani for HIT 3 hope they consider it making more serious and better.
Monsters (2022)
Slow, slow, very slow narration
Every episode is like 1 hour, initially thought director want to build the character and want the viewers to understand those characters and personalities, but slow narration on every episode is making us not to watch the show anymore, may be 35-40mins max runtime per episode would make this show one of the best.
Positive: Story, casting, cinematography
Negative: screenplay, direction.
If netflix has an option to trim the episodes and re-release later then it would be wonderful. There is no point to view the series without suspense. Slow Screenplay on every scene on every episode is so boring.
Good Luck Sakhi (2022)
Bad background music and dubbing
I watched this movie in amazon prime and felt like my TV has speaker problem. Too much background music sound makes even hard to listen dialogs. Some times dialogs are coming with noise. Didnt expect this kind of low quality dubbing and inconsistent level of background music from Devi sri prasad.
