Under the sea is a symphony of sound produced by fish, marine mammals, oceanographic processes, and human-related sources. Passive acoustic monitoring is a powerful observational tool for listening to the sea, but these datasets can be very large, with some projects producing terabytes of data per month. The SoundCoop Project was a community driven effort to compare soundscape data across 12 monitoring efforts. https://lnkd.in/ejU66d9Y
