Some pages on MediaWiki.org are protected. This may be because they have some important information on them which should not be removed or vandalized.
Administrators are able to edit protected pages. If you have a suggestion for a change, even if it's only a typo, please leave a note on the page's talk page or on the talk page of one of the sysops, or post at Project:Village pump.
