Import Table Into The Repository

There are two ways to import tables into a repository: 1) Go to File > Import Metadata, select the server and connection type, choose the object types and names to import, then click Finish and save. 2) Right click the database connection, select New Object > Physical Table, enter the table name and columns, then save to view the imported data.

Import Table into the repository.

There are two ways of importing tables into a repository.


1.

Process 1:

Go to File Import Metadata.

2.

Select the server type (i.e. Remote server, Local server), Connection Type & Appropriate ODBC Connection .Provide the username and password of the schema and press Next.

3.

Select the object types that you want to import.

4.

Select the object name and Import

5.

Click on Finish and save the repository.

Process 2:
This is to be followed only when we know the table name and columns exactly. 1. Right click on the Database connection in the Physical Layer New Object Physical Table

Enter the Table name

Go to Columns tab and click on Add Columns

4.

Enter the column name and its properties accordingly and click on Ok. Add all the required columns in the similar way and save the repository.

5.

To check right click on table and View Data.
