Smooth surfaces in 3-space: smooth maps, tangents, derivative, normals and orientability; the first fundamental form. Curvature of surfaces: normal, geodesic, principal, mean and Gaussian. The second fundamental form. Geodesics: geodesic equations, geodesics of surfaces of revolution. Gauss's Theorema Egregium. The Gauss-Bonnet Theorem and applications.
