Egg ingested > small intestine > penetrate intestinal villi, return to lumen and migrate to cecum -Larvae mature and live in the colon -BARREL-SHAPED EGGS -life span: 4-8 years Complex + heart-lung cycle -egg>small intestine>intestinal wall>bloodstream > liver > lung -lung>alveoli> pharynx (swallowed) > back to reporting

Slight infection asymptomatic Heavy infection matted colon, bloody stool , bloody mucous CHRONIC DYSENTERY, abdominal pain and tenderness
