demand and the individual's ability and / or motivation to meet those demands." Stress is often termed as a twentieth century syndrome, born out of man's race towards modern progress and its ensuing complexities.

Some amount of stress is essential for us to excel in life. This is good stress or EUSTRESS But when stress is too much then it reduces performance. This is bad stress or DISTRESS
