4. Ovary
1. Follicle Stage - FSH released from pituitary gland promotes growth of follicle - form primordial follicle to mature graafian follicle; primary oocyte - graafian follicle secretes estradiol to initial formation of endometrium 2. Ovulation Stage - at a maximum level of estradiol, LH is released and matures the eggs - LH also weakens the walls of the follicles releasing the secondary oocyte - oocyte matures into ootid then becomes the mature ovum 3. Luteal Stage - corpus luteum produces progesterone and estrogen -hypothalamus signals pituitary to stop releasing of LH and FSH 4. Menstrual Flow - corpus luteum dies and becomes corpus albicans stopping production of progesterone - endometrium sloughs off
5. Oogenesis
1: Follicles produce eggs and estrogens 2: At propase I cell becomes primary oocyte (2n) 3: Primary oocyte undergoes meiosis I to produce secondary oocyte and 1st polar body (2n) 4: The secondary oocyte undergoes meiosis II to produce haploid cells (1n) which is the ovum, and 3 second polar bodies. 5: The second polar bodies degenerates
6. Spermatogenesis
1: Seminiferous tubules produce primary spermatocytes (2n) 2: Primary spermatocytes undergo meiosis I to produce secondary spermatocytes (2n) 3: Secondary spermatocytes undergo meiosis II to produce haploid cells (1n) 4: The secondary spermatocytes grow flagella when they mature

9. DNA Replication
1. Breaking of double strand by helicase, producing replication fork. 2. RNA primase adds RNA primer to starting points 3. DNA polymerase adds DNA to primers in 5-3 direction 4. Exonuclease removes primers and DNA polymerase adds in DNA 5. DNA ligase binds the fragments
