DSG 7 Speed Basic Steeing

Put a battery charger on

gearbox oil temp above 60 degrees


car not moving with engine off
gearbox in park and handbrake on
pressing brake pedal
Go into gearbox ecu
manual functions
basic settings
enter group 60
you should the displayed values
253 1 12 basic setting has started
4 0 0 turn on the engine
254 0 0 the basic settings have been completed successfully
255 0 0 basic settings interrupted
If the value 254 is shown then the basic settings have been done successfully. now turn off
the ignition and take the key out for 3 seconds
Now you need to carry out a road test for learning the DSG gearbox.
1) select drive and complete twice
go forward from standstill into second gear
select reverse and complete twice
driving in reverse for a few meters
2) select tiptronic and drive in all gears including reverse for at least 4 seconds
3) select tiptronic and complete twice
Select an odd gear and drive between 2000 to 4500rpm for 5 minutes and then an even gear at
the same rev range for 5 minutes also. completing twice
Then continue driving with varied acceleration and once maximum acceleration
4) complete a normally driven road test to confirm fault has been fixed.
If you still have a harsh gear change or jerking complete step 3 once again.
Go to dynamic requests and select value group 180/1 and 200/1 The reading should be 3 or
more which related to each clutch adaption.
