Application of reverse circulating basket


Reverse flow basket works by producing a circulating force with jet nozzles, the
jet junk basket is capable of retrieving the most stubborn items at the bottom
wellbore. Open jets enable the workstring to be pulled dry, improving rig floor
efficiency and safety.
Benefits of junk reverse circulating basket
The purpose of this fishing tool is retrieval of junk in the hole especially in hard
formation. Junk is defined as any unwanted material thats tempered the drilling
operations. Examples of junks is metal debris, tools that accidentally drops into
the hole and parts of equipment such as bits cone.

Procedures involving Reverse circulating basket
Reverse circulating basket lower to the bottom and its rotate slowly into wellbore.
When the tool is approximately 10 feet(1) from the bottom of the hole, the ball is
dropped down the drill pipe. The ball then adjust itself into the ball seat and
reverse circulation will begin. After that the reverse circulation will occurs, this
will cause venturis effect occurs(2) . Which then create partial vacumm inside the
junk basket. this actions will force any junk inside the hole into the basket. Then
the captured junk will held by retaining fingers. This action will be contiounous
until all junk clear from the hole.
