Science (Kindergarten)
I.

At the end of the lesson the pupils are expected to;


a. identify different ways on how animals move;
b. name animals according to their movement; and
c. participate actively in group activities

A. Topic: Animal Movements
B. Reference: NCG week 28 p. 89

C. Materials: pictures, activity sheets, charts, and real objects.
D. Value: Taking care of different animals around us.

Procedure
A. Preparation
1. Prayer
2. Weather report (Telling date, Weather)
3. Checking for attendance
B. Motivation
Song Adda Taraken ni Lino
C. Presentation
1.What are the animals mentioned in the song?
2. How do these animals move?
3. Can you name other animals and how they move?
4. Divide the class into four, each group should represent their
group by demonstrating the movement assigned to them.
Group 1- Hop Team
Group 2-Crawl Team
Group 3- Fly Team
Group 4- Swim Team
5. Distribute pictures of animals and web chart.
Let each group identify the animals and their movement.

1. Let each group present their work by assigning one reporter
for each group.
Supervise and supplement.
2. Check the pictures posted by each group and discuss the

Group the children into four, distribute their materials and give

b. Crawl group: Animal mobile
c. Swimming group: Animal poster
d. Flying group: Play dough / Form animals according to their
movement
G. Generalization
Name animals that can crawl, swim, fly, run, and hop/jump
