1.1ShopDrawings:Thefirststepofpreparationworksistocheckthetenderdrawingsforanymodificationsandissuetheconceptdesigns
architecturaldrawingsandtherelatedaluminumschedule,showingtheelevation,verticalsection,horizontalsection,location &
specifications of each item In parallel and with close coordination with the project manager meeting might be arranged with main
specificationsofeachitem.Inparallel,andwithclosecoordinationwiththeprojectmanager,meetingmightbearrangedwithmain
contractorandconsultanttodiscusstheprojectdetailsandrequirements.Accordingly,shopdrawingsandsectiondetailsare prepared
foreachparticularitemofthescope.Theissueddrawingsarecheckedbytheteamleader,thetechnicalmanagerandtheproject
manager,thensubmittedforapproval.SubmittalsarepreparedasperSalumco proceduresandformstomaintainproperfilingand
record.Afterfinalizingthemodificationsprocessaspertheconsultantsrequirements,afullsetofdrawingsisissuedfor construction,
and several copies are distributed as per the project conditions.

1.2MaterialIndexList:Materialindexlistispreparedafterreceivingtheconsultantscommentsand/orapprovalsonthesubmittedshop
drawings.Thematerialindexlistincludesallmaterialreferencesandquantities,suchasaluminumprofiles,gaskets,accessories,
sealants.Aswellasthedraftglasslistwhichwillbefollowedbytheexactcuttingsizesaftercheckingtheasbuiltsizesonsite.
1.3MaterialSubmittal:Samplesanddatasheetsforalltheusedaluminumsystemsandtherelatedglassandaccessoriesaresubmittedfor
approval.SubmittalsarepreparedasperSalumco proceduresandformstomaintainproperfilingandrecord.
1.4ExecutionSchedule:Executionscheduleispreparedincoordinationwiththemaincontractor,andsubmittedtotheconsultantfor
approval.

1.5Procurement:Thematerialoftheprojectareorderedaccordingtomaterialindexlist.Ordersmaybeissuedinseveralbatches
accordingtotheprogressonsiteandtherelatedexecutionschedule.
1.6SiteVisitsandMobilization:Inparalleltotheabove,thesiteProjectEngineer/Supervisorpayconsecutivevisitstositetoobservethe
existingconditions,arrangeformobilizationandofficesetupandpreparetheadequatelogisticproceduresfortheworkstobe
executedproperly.Adetailedmethodstatementwillbepreparedforparticularapplicationsofsophisticateditems.AProject Engineer
willbeassignedtoberesidentonsiteforclosefollowup,supervisionandcoordination.
1.7SiteSurvey&Measurement:Aftersitereadiness,allsiteopeningaresurveyedandmeasured.Accordingly,cuttinglistsareissuedtobe
implementedinfabricationdrawingsandglassorder.

2. Fabrication,Installation&HandingOver:
Fabrication,InstallationandHandingOverwillbeoperatedasfollows:
2.1ProfileProtection:Allaluminumprofilesareprotectedbyhighqualityprotectiontape,inordertoavoidanydamagetothecoating
duringfabrication,transportationandinstallationprocesses.Protectionisappliedbyspecialmachinesormanually.
2.2Fabrication:ThefabricationprocesswilltakeplaceinSalumco factoriesbyourhighlyexperiencedTechnicians(5to20yearsof
experience),supervisedbyourtrainedandexperienceForemen.TheoverallprocessisinspectedbyourQA/QCengineers,from

fabricationtodispatch,inaccordancetoSalumcos QA/QCstandards.
2.3DeliverytoSite:Whenthesiteisreadyforframeinstallation,theframeswillbetransportedtositeandstoredinthestoragearea
providedbytheMainContractor.AllGasketsandAccessoriesarecarefullystoredintheiroriginalpackinginordertoavoid anykindof
damages (scratches moisture humidity)

2.4 Installation:Oncethefinishingworksareinprogress,andthesiteisclean,theinstallationofframescanstart.Theinstallationprocessis
carriedoutbyprofessionaltechnicians,supervisedbyhighlyexperiencedsupervisors.Oncetheframeinstallationisinprogress,another
teamwillstarttheglassinstallationinparallel.
2.5 Safety:Allourinstallationandlogisticteamsonsiteareequippedwithafullgearofsafetyequipmenttoensureasafeoperationof
works.

2.6SiteCoordination:TheProjectManager/ProjectEngineerwillattendalltheprogresssitemeetings,inordertomaintainclosecontinuous
coordinationwiththeclientandthesitemanagement,andachievetherequestedtargetsinthespecifiedtimeframe.Sitereportswill
be submitted to site management on weekly bases reporting the overall progress achieved and tackling any problems or pending
besubmittedtositemanagementonweeklybases,reportingtheoverallprogressachievedandtacklinganyproblemsorpending
issues,ifany.
2.7FinalAdjustment:Afterinstallationiscomplete,ourfinishingSupervisorswillscanalltheworks,andnotetheircomments.Ourfinishing
teamswilladjustallopenings,andrectifyalldefects,ifthereany,tothecompletesatisfactionofthesiteSupervisorandtheProject
Manager.
2.8HandingOver:Afterfinaladjustmentandrectification,acleaningteamwillpealalltheprotectiontapeandcleanalltheframesand
glass.ThealuminumandglazingworksarethenhandedovertotheMainContractor.
