Mastering Physics PhET Tutorial Charges and Electric Fields

This document describes a PhET simulation called "Charges and Electric Fields" that allows users to place positive and negative point charges and observe the resulting electric field. It provides a tutorial with multiple parts that explore how the electric field is affected by things like the charge configuration, distance from charges, and the presence of single or multiple charges. Key results include that the electric field is directed radially away from a positive charge but inward for a negative charge, decreases as 1/r^2 for a single charge but not always for charge distributions, and can be zero along axes of symmetry.
