Wardell Stephen Curry II is an American professional basketball player for the Golden State Warriors of the NBA. He was drafted 7th overall by the Warriors in 2009. Curry has won two NBA championships with the Warriors and was named the NBA MVP in 2015. He is known for being one of the best three-point shooters in NBA history and has broken many of the league's three-point shooting records. Curry was raised in Charlotte, North Carolina and played college basketball at Davidson College, where he led the team to the Elite 8 in 2008.

Biography
Wardell Stephen Curry II, born March 14, 1988 in Akron Ohio
is a member of the Golden State Warriors in the NBA
(National Basketball Association). Stephen Curry grew up in
Charlotte, North Carolina and was taught the game of
basketball by his father, Dell Curry, who was a member of the
Charlotte Hornets from 1988-1998. Curry went to Charlotte
Christian School where he was a star and got looked at by
some major colleges but decided to stay close to home and
attend Davidson College. Curry was a hero for Davidsons
Mens Basketball Team and helped lead them to the NCAA
tournament in his junior year. Following his outstanding
junior year performance, Curry entered the 2009 NBA Draft
where he was chosen Seventh Overall to the Golden State
Warriors where he has remained since.
