I will make sure that my students feel comfortable with me and with other students in
the class. I will use some ice breaking activities allows students to get to know each
other, but I will also make sure that I give students other outlets to get to know each
other for those who may be more introverted. I will give students different outlets to
show their learning because I know that everyone learns in different ways, but I will
encourage students to try and work outside of their comfort zone.
Physical space
I made a diagram of how I would like to have my class laid out. I do not know what
my classroom will come with, but I hope that I can set the class up in a discussion
setting where there is a U shape. I believe that this promotes discussion and allows
myself to manage the classroom better. I will need to have shelving/storage space for
binders that the students have in my class. I hope that I will have sinks and a fridge
accessible, for some of the labs that I will conduct. I hope that I can also have a
comfortable area that students can relax and feel comfortable to be in the class
outside of classroom time.
Each week or few weeks students will receive new jobs. I will have Popsicle sticks
that will have students names on them. Popsicle sticks with the different jobs will
have a number at the bottom with the number of students responsible for that job.
Managing Resources

There will be bins to check out containing class materials for every table. They will
receive, a box of colored pencils, a box of markers, 2-5 calculators, tape, glue sticks,
scissors and an expo marker.
The Bins will have a checklist, if there is anything missing from the bin upon its return
the entire table will lose their professional points for the day. I will have a class
supplies cabinet where students can access papers and their supply boxes. When
students need to borrow pens or pencils they will lose a professional point for the day.
When passing out papers one student per week will have the job to hand out and pass
back assignments.
