An Overview:

HEURISTICS started the engagement with an assessment phase for the first two
weeks to gain application knowledge and Operational understanding. This phase
was particularly valuable for establishing processes and setting the expectation
benchmark between HEURISTICS and the clients team. On completion of Assessment
phase, our team started the work on Development assignments.

Business Requirements and Challenges:


The client was facing issues in managing the Oracle Standard Development and Java
technologies in their Oracle EBS and customized bolt-on applications.

Solution: Oracle EBS Application support


HIPL Role: The Project was accomplished by HEURISTICS in two phases.

1. Assessment Phase
HEURISTICS started the project by reading the system and taking an overview

of the current Oracle EBS used by the client and the custom application.
Reading of the SDLC and standard operational guidelines followed by the
client and their documentation and coding standards.
Unit testing practice, use cases and test scripts, access controls and
limitation of developers, and communication methodology followed by
the client.
Standard releases and CRP scheduling and review practice followed by the
client.

2. Development Phase
Review of design document to understand the task and technology and

allocation of task based on the technology and functional group (Custom


Application, EBS (Finance, HR, supply Chain)).
Check-Out Application Object (forms, Page, Report and other object)
development of task as per design document and uploading of
information on MOZART and check-in of changed / new Code.
Co-ordination for deployment of object and unit testing and notify to
release team for QA / UAT testing.
Handling of issue / bug reported by QA / UAT team on code.

HIPL Value Addition for Client benefit:


Provided support to the client in Oracle Standard Development and

customized bolt-on applications.


Helped them in workflow automation of their processes.
Scientific workflow tools used to perform restructuring of data.
