1. What kind of measures of environmental


responsibility would you suggest Carrefour use? What
would be the strengths and drawbacks of your choice?

Comply with applicable legal and other requirements that relate to our
environmental aspects- In order to satisfy environmental groups and the
government as well. An argument exists, whereas to the stability of the financial
performance of the company itself, there must be some sacrifices that must be
done. Conforming with ethical environment responsibilities connotes the
implications to the expenses or costs which could abruptly affect the income of
the company.

Minimize the environmental impact of our business activities- The company


should pursue business operations which have lesser impact on the environment
such as saving energy, preventing pollution coming from wastes, etc. Although,
it sounds pleasing to the ecological aspect, it prohibits Carrefour from having a
freewill to use some resources to satisfy its necessary business operations.

2. How can Carrefour best manage supply


chain in China and other regions to
maximize environmental performance?

Carrefour can manage its supply chain to maximize its environmental


performance by doing or developing ways on how to develop products
that are way natural and won't cause harm to such neighboring
stakeholders. If the products that they produce are of quality and the
ways on how those products were developed and manufactured passed
on quality control, sanitary and environmental standards, surely those
products will be buyable in the market and will attract consumers. As
the law states, the more demand a product has, the more supply it can
generate and the more supply chain will be put into stable positions
because of it.

3. Does Carrefour involve all its


stakeholders sufficiently in its attempts to
be more environmentally responsible?

At first, Carrefour is not considering the other stakeholders such as


those people near the area where their stores are standing for business
which emits air-pollution. However, as it continuously strive for
excellence in serving its customers and the environment by developing
new ways on how to be productive at the same time efficient it the
environment, we can say that Carrefour is now being considerate to all
aspects of the stakeholders' sides and are valuing their comfort.
