Jishu Hozen Step 4 involves overall inspection and checkups to expose and restore minor equipment and setup defects. The goal is to train operators to run machines and equipment with the required accuracy and quality to reduce defects to zero. Operators are trained on key machine components like fasteners, drives, hydraulics, pneumatics, and lubrication. Guidelines for Step 4 include making charts to assess operator skills and machines, upgrading skills, explaining common faults, and marking PM check points to verify training completion.

Guidelines for JH Step 4
1. Make a list of No of Machines in cell 2. Make a Bar Chart of distribution of cell m/cs w.r.t. category Viz AA, A, B, C 3. Make a List of cell members 4. Make a Profile of cell members according to their age, make Pie Chart 5. Make list of Skills required for making Equipment competent operator. Viz fasteners, Drives(Belt, Chain, Pulley, Couplings), Hydraulics, Pneumatics, M/c Specific Mechanisms 6. Make Radar chart for these skills giving marks between 1&2 7. Explain cellmembers with the help of maint, all above w.r.t m/c, during these sessions please take the photographs 8. Upgrade operators skill in radar chart w.r.t macine. 9. Explain basic faults in that macine & how it can be taken care. 10.Mark Few of the PM check Points converted to CLITA sheet in Yellow colour as a result of training. Now operator has become equipment competetent & macine has completed Step 4.
