INTRODUCTION
• PepsiCo, Inc. was founded in 1965 through the
merger of Pepsi-Cola and Frito-Lay. Tropicana
was acquired in 1998. In 2001, PepsiCo merged
with the Quaker Oats Company, creating the
world’s fifth-largest food and beverage
company, with 15 brands – each generating
more than $1 billion in annual retail sales.

distinctive competitive strategies and the high
level of integrity of our people.
Pepsi-Cola North America's carbonated soft
drinks, including: Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, Pepsi Twist,
Mountain Dew, Mountain Dew Code Red,
Sierra Mist, and Mug Root Beer account for
nearly one-third of total soft drink sales in the
United States.

and/or sugar, citric acid, purity gum, potassium
benzoate and potassium sorbate (preserves freshness),
ester gum, natural flavor, yellow 6, ascorbic acid and
calcium disodium EDTA (to protect flavor), sodium

Compare to any other activities of product mix

in stimulating the customers to buy a product.

• They give their brand name on the car of the
car race
• They provide sponsorship in cricket match
• They make different packages for their
brand like glass bottle, tin and plastic bottle.
• They provide schemes to their dealer if
dealer sold certain no of bottle.
•They provide price promotion to the dealer.
•They give free gifts to the consumer and
dealers.
•They provide facility of scratch card to the
consumer and if any consumer scratch that
card and they get the gift.

CONCLUSION
• We conclude that different companies have
different promotional activities for increase the
sale. There are many competitors of pepsi like
coke, sprite, maaza etc. inspite of this pepsi
maintain its position in the market.
• Sales promotion is becomes necessary now a
days in this global world. Pepsi is one of the
successful cold drink companies in India. Now
a day they are concentrating more on sales
promotional activities, tools and techniques.
